“In a follow-up message sent to us by a PR representative at the publisher, this notion was also made clear once again. “I can confirm that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla runs at 4K at 60 fps on PS5 (upscaled 4K)”

This is what I expected between the PS5 and Series X.

2TF difference isn’t gonna result in parity.

This is going to be one of those long 20 page threads where in the end it turns out it's not native on the Series X either.

Last gen: Parity

This gen: No parity

It's a shame but the 60fps is what matters to me. I'm sure the game will look great on both systems

Has it been confirmed how it will run on the S? 1080 at 60fps?

I assume PS4/XB1 will be 1080 30fps

Just looking at Watch Dogs Legion perf on PC it's not too surprising. Also the fact that most 60 fps games announced so far are dynamic 4K.

Upscaled 4k is the only way you'll get 4k/60 for most larger games like Valhalla I imagine. Wonder what it is on the Series X

uh...fucking duh?

Ill say it again. 4k is a FUCKTON of pixels to calculate. Native 4k isnt feasable right now in the majority of games. Reconstruction is the future of rendering. When we get to a point where ...oh wait. we are already here.1440p upscaled to 4k DLSS looks BETTER than native 4k with TAA.

Didn't really have parity last gen with PS4 being more powerful than the Xbox One, and then the One X being more powerful than the Pro. Unless you mean "this gen" as PS4/XBO.

If this is true for early cross gen games I'm worried it will mean we fall back to 30fps games as the gen goes on

I'd rather 60fps is the priority than 4k native

Here's the thing though; weren't there some cases where Xbox One X might've had native 4k when the Pro didn't but the Pro was able to have a more stable frame rate across the board as a result? Could be the same here.

I mean who cares? I expect it and many many games will be dynamic 4k on the PS5 and XSX this generation.

60 fps seems to be the primary target this generation and I bet we see that struggle as the generation adapts.

Is it 60fps? Not to sound hostile, but who fucking cares? It appears the next weapon in fanboy wars is magnifying a glasses.
