From this weekend to the end of it's run including it's expansion? Probably $12-$15m and around $25m-$27m shy of AVATAR.
It's going to do 40M more? Based on..?
We should have seen this coming soon as they announced the re-release was not a new/extended cut of the movie but the same cut with 5 minutes of blu-ray extra features at the end. What was the point of this expansion if they weren't gonna go big with it.
Lol, maybe they plan on rereleasing it twice for good measureWe should have seen this coming soon as they announced the re-release was not a new/extended cut of the movie but the same cut with 5 minutes of blu-ray extra features at the end.
Yeah, for the Oscars
This sounds familiarI don't know much about box office stuff. I want it to happen so I believe it.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Religion in its purest form.I don't know much about box office stuff. I want it to happen so I believe it.
Crazy how this "re-release" is being considered a re-release when it's still in theaters with 985 theaters still showing it. An expansion with deleted scene(s) and a tribute at the after credits would be more appropriate.
They will probably add around 800 or so theaters to this expansion if I'm being generous.
Precisely.I may have misread this, but the re-release is literally a deleted scene, and a tribute after the credits

Not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie. If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there'll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises. Which will be next weekend.
We know the total run time post credits is 7 minutes. And if it was anything notable they would actually market it. Instead they are releasing it onto prints in just 5 days with zero marketing or press material. Similar to when they added the Spidey trailer to the end of prints a few weeks back (which some here also said would give the film a huge boost lol). And "a few surprises" according to Feige. Why are people glossing over that?
The exact quote from Feige is:
With the currently available info it is factually wrong to say that this version will just have a deleted scene and a tribute.

alexandros is picking up the slack, minus the passive-aggressive persecution complex and gatekeeping nonsense.
Why would you ever want him back? Look at howmuch more peaceful things are with him gone. It's like a breath of fresh air.
The cult following of this man just perplexes meAs soon as Endgame passes Avatar, all of his detractors will get a private message. Three words. "On your left".
I like peaceful threads without hostile aggressive fanboyism personally. This past few days in the BO threads have been so relaxing. It's night and and day. I love it.
Now all we do is wait and see what kind of dent this next weekend makes. It's gonna help some, but I don't think as much as some others are hoping.
Nothing more fun than comparing who gets to direct GotG3 to the #metoo movement amirite?
Give or take. It made a whopping $3.2m this weekend worldwide. The reissue next week will slow the bleeding but it will more than likely not be enough.
