Okay, so I just watched "The Apple" and it's pretty fuckin' dumb.
It also has a song that consists almost entirely of some of the least subtle sexual euphemisms I have ever heard.

I just watched TerrorVision on Amazon. It was your pretty standard bad horror movie except for a weird swingers subplot. The parents have nude and sexual paintings in their room and the kids don't seem to notice or care, either. Really fucking strange. There's no sex in it except for a couple seconds of a porno on TV where you can't even see anything.

Yo guys, it would normally be a week from now for the next Bad Movie Night. However, this doesn't work for Frimaire, so let's try to accommodate him if we can. I'm pretty flexible. Frimaire , would certain days work better for you?

As it turns out, I wouldn't be available that night either this month, so hopefully we can figure something out. Always look forward to the movie nights

Hey, sorry I forgot to check ahead in my schedule.
I'll look tomorrow and let you know if there are any days on the weekend where I don't work in the evening.

So how's Sunday lookin' y'all?

In related news, I'm going to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando this year, and one of the scare zones is themed to Killer Klowns from Outer Space! That should be awesome. It'll be my first HHN, and it's shaping up to be a good one. The overall theme is the 80s, so there should be plenty of campy stuff. One of the non-IP haunted houses reminds me of Bad Game Illbleed- you go through 3 shitty B horror movies.

Saw Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans on Amazon Prime and decided to watch it. All I knew was Nicholas Cage was in it as a bad cop, and that I'd previously seen the scene where he fucks some druggie while they both do drugs in front of the woman's boyfriend in the middle of a parking lot. It was sent to me because it was so hilariously bad.

There was some great bad shit in this movie. Nicholas Cage acts like himself the whole movie (ie on drugs) and there's some legendarily terrible bad shots.

In the middle of watching, I look on Wikipedia and see it was directed by Warner Herzog, and has an 87% on RT, with the movie being included on many top ten films of the year lists, with many singling out Nic Cage's acting as some of his best in a long time. It also premiered at Venice with Herzog getting a special award "With the following motivation: a powerful narration that demonstrates that the possibility of recovery from cocaine, heroin and alcohol abuse exists with thanks to the support and guidance of the family and community." Except Nic Cage is STILL doing drugs at the end of the movie.

What the fuck is wrong with people? I'm wondering if this was all an elaborate troll from Herzog.

The only part I remember from that movie is the "his soul's still dancing" bit.
Also there's like an iguana?

I just assumed we were starting the normal time but I'm down for whatever. 8:30 PM EST 1000 Needles ?

The face Nic Cage makes in that scene is sooo gif-worthy. Actually, someone DID gif it:

And yeah there's iguanas that only he can see because drugs and the cinematography in those scenes is shit because drugs.

I'll have to do some testing, but I think our issue of not being able to find any American-site-friendly streams of Neil Breen movies is solved!

Fateful Findings is very possibly now in the cards, Frimaire!

Oh yeah, if you can try to find Geteven / Road to revenge as well.
It's a good one, but I remember it being very hard to find...

How's everyone else schedules?

If we do one this month, probably not watch Neil Breen. Gotta make sure Frimaire is in for that.

Hot damn, that trailer is something else. Definitely need to watch that.

Not sure exactly about my schedule yet, but I agree. Breen movies can wait until Frimaire is available.

I'm cross posting from the Horror thread. I originally wasn't sure where to put this but after watching three of these movies it deserves global saturation. I saw these Bad Ben movies on Amazon Prime video and watched the first one and ended up binging three of them. These are one of those movies where the same name shows up for everything in the credits. I was entranced though because it's like the guy knew it was going to bad and played on that. It's found footage horror but I honestly think the guy shot everything on his cell phone.

What made these great for me is the guy is so fucking deadpan with his delivery it's so hilarious. He's seriously arguing at this doll with a knife in his asking it if she was going to stab him and calls her a whore and slaps it off the table. And he's telling the ghost fuck you get out because he needs to flip the house to keep from losing all his money.

Steelmanville Road is like the prequel that is supposed to tell you the history and oh my god it was soooooo bad. The acting is so horrible and the effects had me laughing my ass off. I think the guy who made these knew he had no budget so he intentionally leaned into the awfulness to skew more comedy/horror. The origin and where they were heading with that wasn't actually bad. I don't want to spoil it but it's actually something I'd like to see more people try to do.

the jersey devil

Make sure to watch these in a group setting for maximum enjoyment. And the ending to Bad Ben Mandela Effect *kisses fingers*. Magnificent, simply magnificent. I was rolling on the floor at that point and rewound it to watch it again.

It was so awful/bad/good I would watch it again. I think the order of them is Bad Ben/Steelmanville Road/Badder Ben/Bad Ben Mandela Effect but I haven't watched Badder Ben yet. I think you can really watch them in any order once you watch the first one. Steelmanville is the worst of the bunch and tries to be more serious (therefore to me became the funniest of the bunch) but even though its the "origin" story movie you should still watch Bad Ben first and then go from there.

I just watched Sharknado 6 since I had to work last night and couldn't watch it then.

It was... well, it was a Sharknado movie alright. Somehow it was simultaneously more and less bizarre than its predecessors. Though nothing will ever top 4 for how ridiculous they got, imo.

I'm going to miss that ludicrous franchise
