Some job listings came up recently for a planner of a 3D action game project contracted by Nintendo.

Another listing came up as well for a visual artist for the same Nintendo Contracted 3D action game

And then a listing that clarifies it is a remaster/remake, working on the HD remastering of 3D backgrounds

IIRC we know that Metroid Prime is being made by Retro so probably not that, my hope is Kid Icarus Uprising, but who knows

Eternal Darkness is technically 3d action adventure I suppose...

Just let me have this.

Not sure why anyone expect anything other than Twilight Princess. Would fill in the void of BOTW2 delay.

Kid Icarus Uprising is like one of the greatest 3D action games of all time, and Sakurai would certainly trust the talent there if he had any say (regardless of whether he's actively involved). So naturally I hope it's that. The insiders have said Metroid Prime Remastered was handled internally at Retro Studios.

Weren't the rumors that this was already done?
How many years has it been "ready"?
Throw out all rumors about Prime before last year, they don't matter.

What we now know with near-certainty is that Retro Studios began wrapping up a project last September. A notable amount of contract devs left the studio around the same period. That project certainly wasn't Prime 4, so what would it be? This happened right after new rumors of a Prime remaster (Xenoblade DE-tier remaster) being worked on by Retro, and that Nintendo were looking for a studio to outsource Prime 2 and 3 to. Maybe they've found that studio in Bamco?

My first thought was Disaster Day of Crisis, as that was developed by Monolith, which came from Bandai Namco, I think.
