Update: According to jackfrag there will be some sort of story integrated into the MP mode. Also, paid battlepass will focus on cosmetics only while free battlepass will include everything else.

No huge loss for me TBH. Most BF campaigns are super forgettable outside of the Bad Company games.
There was one that didn't have a campaign and the most recent two did.
$70 for next gen w/o a single player campaign?
Even if I only played the campaign once, I'm decidedly less interested at paying full price now.

Bad Company 2 had one of the best campaigns ever. If they could just give us BC3 and then do what they want I wouldn't mind.

Title is a bit odd, I don't think the seasons are "paid." It's likely just like Fortnite and CoD where you can buy a battle pass?
Eh, I feel like the free/paid Battlepass model is a pretty decent compromise. If that's what everyone ultimately settles on for this stuff I can live with it.
SP has never been good since Bad Company. They are even gettting worse. Focus indeed on MP wich they are best at and in the end most people play BF for.
"Campaigns" in BF1 and BFV were terrible (though I liked 'The Last Tiger' and the BF4 campaign).
No campaign + next gen tax to boot. I mean the trailer looked cool and all, but for me personally I don't see why I'd drop the full next gen price when I know I would be spending most of my multiplayer time in Halo this year, and there's no campaign to enjoy. Charging full price for a multiplayer-only game in 2021 seems weird to me when they have so many other ways of monetizing it.

in reference to not having a campaign, it's good because it means more time, money, effort, energy is able to be spent on multiplayer modes.
I love CoD campaigns - always play them, and I hated that Blops 4 cut it. Because CoD campaigns are actually good. BF campaigns, I played them all, and they somehow got worse as time went on.
They require you to make the game your life. You get a time limit on your grind. If you don't complete the pass in time you lose the content forever.
If you have attempted to play two different games that both feature a battle pass, you know how impossible it is.
