About time. I've been saying for a while if there is any legitimacy to the lawsuit issued before the election of trump raping that 16 year old girl, that it would come out when Cohen flips. Hopefully this will draw more attention to this, because there is just so much with him that certainly raises eyebrows when it comes to young girls.

His base is going to fight back alongside him incredibly hard against these sorts of allegations if they pick up steam. The few people I know that support trump literally throw out every single negative thing as "the fake news democrats spreading lies because they can't handle trump". And also because admitting he's as shitty a person as he sounds and acts means these people have to face some things internally that they don't want to face.

Back on topic, this is vile and disgusting...and this is the shit we're hearing about. Imagine what else he's done that hasn't been publicized yet. Of all his support groups, I am furious that those calling themselves religious are clinging to him so hard. This man cannot be ejected from office any faster.

I've heard exactly one person say something positive about him, some dickhead I overheard in the pub one day. Every single other person I've spoken to thinks he's a clown at best, and a disgusting mess of a human at worst.

Even my sister's in-laws, who are extremely pro-Brexit and are so for exactly the reasons you may think (racism) think he's an idiot and a terrible man. They only say his presidency is good because they're looking forward to a good assassination attempt on him someday...

Is there any level on which Donald Trump is not completely and totally classless, vulgar and vile. Let's cast aside the corruption, the lying, the treason, the racism, the homophobia, the vengeful hatred of Hilary Clinton & Obama, the intentional attempts to disrupt the current world order and his obvious admiration of dictators and tyrants....

A little lower down the chart of "things that matter", he has mocked the disabled at rallies, "jokes" about locking up his political opponents & stalks Hilary around the stage at the debates trying to intimidate her..Then the allegations of paedophilia and sexual assault (starting to feel there's no smoke without fire)

Then down to the seemingly insignificant stuff, he can't take ANY criticism without going off on one, there are the reports that he CONSTANTLY cheats at golf, he eats steak well done with ketchup, has bullshit beliefs about diet and exercise, makes inappropriate jokes about banging his own daughter... Insists on having one more scoop of ice cream than his dinner guests (!?!?!?!?)

Every...single.... level.... of this man, from the most important stuff, right down to the seemingly petty details....is.....VILE. How can ANYBODY admire this awful, shitty human being?

I was listening to the latest episode of Chapo Trap House earlier today, and a big part of it was dedicated to the uncomfortably interconnected way both democratic and republican elite have with sexual exploitation of minors, in the way a certain high-tier echelon of power tends to move in essentially the same circles, regardless of their supposed differences.

A lot of the discussions (or rants, really) were centered around the whole Jeffrey Epstein situation, and what seem to have been an essentially "bi-partisan decision" (obviously not in an official manner) to make sure that whole mess wouldn't be fully investigated, because the number of names connected to it would require a level of discourse that simply can't happen.

Or - from a more pragmatic point of view - "doing the right thing" by untangling that mess would have very little benefit outside of moral satisfaction for the people involved in doing the work, while opening themselves up for an inhuman amount of stress, pressure and threats.

This thread reminded me of the head-space I was in earlier today. Don't mean to derail from the specifics of the thread; just add a bit to it by way of a stray thought. It was a fairly good listen; perhaps even if you're not a fan of that podcast to begin with.

Not like it would matter. He openly and proudly supported roy moore for Senate. Sec with underage girls wpuld get him a pat on the back from his alt right base and a pass from his evangelical base.

The only hope now is the republicans in Congress are pissed off enough with his trade war bullshit, they do thier jobs come Muellers report

Well...I've got bad news. Even if that were the case, it wouldn't put much of a dent in the support his base has for him...even if there was indisputable video evidence.
