Pretty sure this was part of the leaked script/summary from months ago but now we've got our first look at the Sonic movie's interpretation of a Baby Sonic, thanks to a keychain promotion:

He's wearing no shoes, which is the giveaway. That and there was a prior leak that referenced it being a plot point IIRC.

Strange that he's still got the gloves though

I guess since the original design never had gloves, they've opted to make it so he's always had them in this version rather than adding in a new scene/explanation?
