BestBuy’s GCU Dicount doesn’t apply to Amiibo’s now

I just went to preorder the new Splatoon amiibos and noticed the GCU discount no longer works. I know the program is shutting down but I thought the benefits were going to remain until the membership expires.

I just added an amiibo (Peach SMO Amiibo) to my cart and went to checkout and the discount still applied.

Edit: I added the Splatoon 3 pack amiibo preorder listed in the OP and the GCU discount also applied there. I get 7 dollars off.

Did you add 'em to your cart? The discount isn't visible anymore until you do that.
