which game do you believe will have stronger overall sales, the general public appealing Pokémon Let's Go or the biggest smash game to date, Super Smash Bros Ultimate?

Overall? Smash

Pokemon Let's Go will have its legs cut off by Gen 8, as with every pokemon game

Pokemon Let's Go. First mainline pokemon game on a home console and it's a gen 1 remake.

Cornfields
Pokemon. As long as it looks like a standard adventure like we've had for the past 20 years, it'll sell like gangbusters.

Pokemon games tend to do 16-17 million

Smash For sold almost 14 million.
Brawl 13

So ultimate could reach 15/16 million

I'ma say smash.

There is incentive to buy 2 copies of pokemon per player and maybe only 1 for every 4 players of smash

Smash is big, but Pokemon is bigger and has more influence on casuals. Also, the Go connection and the fact this is basically the first "big screen" Pokemon game in a while tha isn't minigames... yeah, no contest imho, especially considering Smash doesn't seem to include anything new or particularly exciting besides comebacks and QoL changes.

I want to say Smash, but it'll be Pokemon. Even if it looks like a spinoff it's still an HD Pokemon game on console that follows up Pokemon Go.

Given there wasn't much effort put into the OP It's hard to have a productive discussion on this topic.
