Also, for the record, since we're talking about taste. It just so happens that apparently my taste includes songs that are Grammy winners. But like I said opinions typically aren't wrong but here we are. My tastebuds are fine btw :D

ADELE WINS GRAMMY FOR SKYFALL | James Bond 007

Congratulations to Adele and Paul Epworth who won the Best Song Written for Visual Media Award for Skyfall at the 56th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. Also among the winners was composer Thomas Newman who won Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for SKYFALL.
Have you been up at night seeking validation and back up?
And the grammy's are the best you found?

1990: Best New Artist - Girl You Know It's True

Justin Bieber has them also.

Stop trying to present an opinion as fact and pop onto the ignore list.

Not hugely impressed. Like others said, it's sounds like a mix of the last two themes; not as good as Adele's but better than Sam Smith's. I was hoping Hans Zimmer will work the melody of the theme into the score like David Arnold and John Barry did with their Bond scores...but there's not much melody here to work in. Zimmer's instrumentation here sounds a lot like the simple, unresolving chord structure he's known for since hooking up with Nolan. I do like the guitar touches tho, and hopefully Johnny Marr will add a lot of that to the score.

next Bond needs a more lively song though.
Hopefully Marr will score it all himself

I haven't heard a lot from Billie Eilish but I like it. Her performance at the Grammys was good too.

Nah, I woke up and was like "wait, didn't Skyfall win a grammy?? It doesn't take all night to google something (for me at least, I don't know about you obviously). Thanks for sharing your opinions though :D

Being understated is one thing, but that was just devoid of any energy. No satisfying climax made it feel meandering.

The official music video such a lazy editing...

They just put it together from already released No Time To Die trailers + Billie Eilish and called it a day..

I absolutely hate the production, its got the same problem as Adele where it sounds like she's singing underwater or in a cave. Just needlessly claustrophobic.

Which is a damned shame because, like Adele, it seems like she can really sing. I don't know if the song is good or bad but the production is just not good.

I gotta be honest, I really liked the song expect for the dumb Bond rift at the end. I'm a big fan of Billie Eilish's singing, so I'm probably pretty biased.

So this is the first Billie Eilish song I've ever heard and after having listened to it yesterday a couple times, I could not for the life of me remember a single thing about it today. Is all her stuff like this or is this just a completely forgettable song?

Pretty dreadfully boring. Bit of a shame as I heard it hyped up before listening to it but even if I listened to it minutes ago I can't really recall it beyond "Not my thing."

I thought the hook was very good after it started off dreadfully slow. I know that it is not easy recording a song for a Bond film and there are just some songs that you are never going to beat no matter how you try, but I must say that this song is pretty solid...

With the current streaming and sales numbers, the song is nearly guaranteed to debut at #1 in the UK, especially because she is performing at the BRITs tomorrow. Would be the second #1 for a Bond song after "Writing on the Wall" debuted at #1 in 2015. It'll premier in the top 10 in the US probably, maybe top 5.

Every song of hers that I have listened to so far just sound like autotuned monotonous whisper singing . I dont know how this kind of singing is popular.

I don't believe she uses auto tune in any of her songs

edit: I found the video where they talk about how they have made the decision to never use pitch correction or auto tune unless it is for a specific effect and that they have only used it in one song and everybody hated it.

Felt pretty generic. Billie's vocals worked with it but I wouldn't call it anything special for a bond movie. It's no You Know My Name or Skyfall though, which are still the top tier of Craig Bond.

Feel the same. Definitely don't get it at all. Call it a "ok boomer" sentiment if you'll like but this modern stuff doesn't do anything for me.

you can watch her live performances, while she doesn't have the strongest voice in the biz, she clearly has no problems hitting the notes. what she does have is a very distinctive style and people like it a lot.

People acting like the whole "whisper singing" thing is new....when it's not.

Anyways I thought it was alright. Pretty forgettable, but I wouldn't be mad if I randomly heard it.

It's fine, I'm sure it will make for a nice title sequence. That's all it needs to do. All the Craig films have had good title themes/sequences except the abomination that was Another Way to Die.

Besides the classic Bond theme, this doesnt even come close to Skyfall. That song still gives me shivers

The song is a little weaker than I'd like, but I generally like Eilish's voice and musical aesthetic. Feels like new wave of grunge to me lol.
I think the intro could really elevate or synergize with the song.

Her stuff is incredibly varied.

I'm only just posting this here because this seems to be the latest thread about this movie, but I find it cool they've stylized the logo for the movie in a bunch of different languages. Do they do that for every Bond movie? Maybe they do, but I'm impressed with how many languages I've seen them adapt this particular font into.

I might post the pictures I've found later, but so far I've found the NTTD logo done in:

English
Spanish
French
Portuguese
German
Korean
Chinese
Russian
Ukrainian

Billie Eilish does not use autotune in any of her songs except for ones where that is the gimmick (which I think there is one of).. not even general pitch correction. Her brother has several youtube videos breaking down their recording process. It's actually quite impressive. The in tune and phrasing consistency of her several part harmonies in "bad guy" is amazing.

edit: however, it is also totally valid to not dig her voice or whatever. Just wanted to point out the autotune thing.

She has a strong live voice, I liked the song even better live.... Having said that I'd never go see her in concert, she probably just sits in a chair and sings, boring.
