It's a grower, but I really like it. I think it will end up working really well with the intro sequence in the film.
At least it's actually emotionally resonant with Bond's character unlike that awful Sam Smith song.

Have similar feelings too. Don't hate it but needed multiple listens but maybe I'll appreciate it more when I hear it with the title sequence.

Man, I just listened to this again. You're damn right. So much energy and feels way more secret agent-y.
Sam Smiths song was perfectly geared towards what Bond was experiencing in Spectre—a willingness to give it all up again, which he hadn't been willing to do since Casino. I don't get this criticism.

Casino Royale is still great though
It really does sound like a song they recycled from the album. This could have been a moment to step outside that box.
Sounds good. Fits the tone of the film well -- I'm sure it'll work even better playing alongside it.
I like it better than Sam Smiths song for Spectre but i feel like both of those tried to recapture the vibe of Skyfall without sticking the landing.

I actually can't recall a single piece of Billie Eilish's music. But this song is lovely; miles better than Skyfall and Writing's on the Wall, which were mediocre and awful, in that order.

But yeah, it's exactly what I expected, a somewhat dull but extremely traditional bond theme.
Billie Eilish's music is interesting because of the production surrounding it. Without that production, you just get a very Lana Del Ray/Fiona Apple/Devi Lavato style songstress on sad strings and it's boring.
If you pretend that another way to die is just a general tribute to the series and not tied to a specific film it's decent
I see. Coincidentally, that's similar to how I feel about Sam Smith. His voice is good, but the music he puts out is utterly miserable and sleep inducing outside of his work with Disclosure.
Probably pretty good odds she wins an Oscar for this next year, no? Academy seems to have a recent thing for Bond songs, and the original song choices are normally so dire that it won't be hard for this track to stand out. Performing Yesterday as part of the In Memorium segment this year probably helps up her credibility with voters too.

Billie is far, far more interesting than Adel.
1. Production is an integral component, especially when that production is handled by the artists themselves.
2. Hearing her tracks in an acoustic setting dispels this, though, the impact of her music is absolutely not dependent on the above.
The lyricism, the delivery, the tone, the melodies, the production... it all adds up.
