Everyone in the reveal thread saying this would fail and it's gonna sell 20-25% less are gonna look silly.
Game looks good, what can i say. I'll pick it up. Every once in awhile it's good for Era to realize we're a bit of an echo chamber, and there's a whole fuck ton of people out there less cynical than us haha
Not saying it has any impact or not, but maybe wait for it to release first?
Its been ages since i've bought a CoD game, like, since last generation, but i do quite like the campaigns as pulpy as they are. Now having said that, this game having a BR mode has actually put it on the radar of my friend and I, and it might be fun to play a CoD game again after quite a hiatus. I hope no campaigns doesn't become the standard, but for this entry, it might be the right call.
People never learn. Good on them for the early preorder success but after all the nonsense with lootboxes in other competitors games and the seeming no campaign, I just think the "wait and see" approach is safer. Like others said, lets see what this Battle Royale like FIRST
IIRC Modern Warfare generally drove the growth, but the following Black Ops games would sell a bit better.
There are truck tons of great single player games out there on pretty much all platforms. You can afford losing it in CoD.

Black Ops SP was always poor in their games.
SP probably returns next year with MW4.
People who get down with MP only know how good this game looks. Hopefully they knock it out of the park come E3 with the BR mode.
Prolly comin back for MW4 next year. They won't have to do battle royale from scratch for every entry.

Aside from Infinite Warfare the recent campaigns have all been sub par at best. So yeah...
Nah. There are a lots of FPS games with good campaigns, however COD doesn't necessarily need a campaign to be successful. The inverse is true though, a COD game solely focused around SP would not be anywhere near as successful.
They look silly every year.
If you tried using GAF/ERA as a gauge for CoD, you would think the series has been doomed since MW2.
