Finally got my copy (on Switch) and surprisingly, it's not bad at all. Performance seems solid, haven't noticed much input delay while using the Pro Controller and the visuals aren't too terrible aside from a shallow river that was static for some reason. I would have never guessed that it was water if the splash sound effects hadn't played. My biggest issues are the load times after death and the occasional glitch when the game freezes a frame for a dialogue scene but otherwise, I haven't had much of an issue with the quality of the Switch port.
As for the game, I'm loving nearly everything other than the rather spread out save stations, the lack of color and texture change on your outfit when changing the body piece and the difficulty spikes in the boss encounters. I've only gotten to the first two boss fights but they're insane compared to even the bulkiest normal enemies, I just feel totally ill-prepared. I'm well aware that two of these complaints can be dismissed by saying "git gud" but thankfully, they haven't really dampened my experience too much. That level design, art style, score, combat and character customization/upgrade path is too damn perfect for this to be anything less than a 9/10 experience if the game keeps up its current momentum.
