The video, obtained and published by the Daily Mail, shows Thomas Lane, one of the cops charged in Floyd's death, approach his SUV on May 25 and knock on the driver's window, ordering Floyd to show his hands.

He pulls his gun when Floyd doesn't comply.

"Please don't shoot me. Please," Floyd, 46, is seen on the footage pleading as Lane points a gun at his head. "Please, please don't shoot me. I just lost my mom, man."

"Put your hands up there," Lane is heard saying. "Put your (muted) hands up there. Put your hands on the wheel."
"I didn't do nothing wrong," Floyd says as he's dragged out of his SUV and handcuffed, then led to a police vehicle across the street, where he repeatedly tells cops he's claustrophobic and scuffles to avoid being put in the vehicle.

"Please, I'm not trying to win," Floyd says during the struggle. "I'm not a bad guy, man. I'm not a bad guy."

Floyd is wrestled to the ground. As the video ends, he can be heard pleading, "I can't breathe, I can't breathe."

The transcript makes all of the smearing the Candace Owens-types did over the past few months that much more appalling. No matter what he did during the course of his life, here he was just a grieving man begging not to be hurt in a traffic stop. The cops ignore his repeated pleas, hurt him and kill him, despite no escalation on his part. And for what?

They know they will get away with it, is why they're so quick to escalate. Part of the reason merely only defunding and reforming the police doesn't go far enough, the whole system is bad because it encourages these outcomes and protects it's own. The police need to be abolished.

Screaming about his anxiety... fucking hell man as someone with occasional anxiety spikes I can't imagine the trauma he was subjected to in this situation, especially after having previously been shot and just recently losing his mom. Terrible, and completely preventable

While it's nice to get BLM murals and rename streets and take down a few statues, the END GOAL is to reform the entire racist structure that enabled these people to murder this man... and so many others just like him.

the description is more than enough. Im so happy my state just passed accountability laws the cops here are pissed and im like if you arent a criminal what do you have to be mad about. you cant be acting like this for simple ass non violent offenses.

If you're the cops' lawyer don't you try everything to limit this to just the transcript in trial? I can't see how the video of a man slowly choking to death while the defendant flashes between indifference, menace, and glee would make your case better.

Haven't watched the original video, will never watch it, and I refuse to watch any of this. I don't need to continually experience trauma to understand how fucked up this country is. Just jail these monsters for life and let's get to work creating a justice system that doesn't destroy my people for no reason.

Pretty much the whole world has seen the video already. If these assholes don't take plea deals to spare society from a trial imagine what kind of jurors they're going to find that will be able to say they don't already know the details? 12 Amish folk?

I just watched a clip of this on the news and he started to cry and begged for his life before he even got out of the car. That clip was too much for me to watch I can't watch the entire thing.

I'm so glad I got an ad with white girls doing yoga before watching a video of cops brutalize and smother a man to death.

The video is brutal and you can pinpoint the moment where agonal respiration takes over and should have been a fucking mountain sized red flag for any officer with more than two brain cells and the barest minimum of attention paid to his wellbeing.

I thought the original charge against Floyd involved counterfeit bill exchange and they'd tried to arrest him in that same store? Had no idea they'd walked up to his car window and put a gun to his head for a nonviolent "crime". Wtf.

Trump voters at my work were all, "They walked up to his car knowing he had a criminal past." Bullshit. "He should have gotten in the car when they told him to." Why? They put handcuffs on him without charging him or explaining why they were handcuffing him from what I could tell. And why should George have had to incur any of the fallout that typically comes with an arrest without good reason?
None of it ever warrants kneeling on a persons neck and killing them. They couldn't argue that.
