Krispy Kream is how the Gourmet Makes series should go, only so many prepackaged foods you can remake, gotta go for fast food and other things.
Prepare yourselves for internet nerd outrage, I believe I saw an engagement ring on Claire.

Yup, I'm making the same. If we have a lot of leftovers, I will do the fried rice variant later.Anyone making any of the BA thanksgiving recipes this year? We're making the corn nuts stuffing.

How dare Christina tease us like she did at the end of the Krispy Kreme video. I want to see it!
Did she post that on Instagram or something?
Because they have processes and machines that she can't recreate? Why didn't she try a more liquid batter like she saw in the beggining of the video haha. You can't get the same texture if you don't at least try to make the doughnut the same way KK makes them.

Seemed like a reasonable question to me, lol"Why do donuts have holes?"
*Andy turns around and stares*
Lol
She talks about the issues that homemade donuts have when trying to achieve the same texture as krispy kreme (overproofing, excess oil absorption, etc), and the video was her trying to zero in on that texture without the drawbacks. She did make good donuts on the first try.Making a gourmet doughnut kind of strikes me as pointless. Any homemade doughnut is bound to be better than a krispy kreme doughnut. I can't believe it's a 40 minute long video, it should just be "make a doughnut, put icing on it, declare victory"

Well they have a formula at this point. Anything lower than 30 minutes and the fanbase will riotI guess. I was just surprised it took as long as something like pringles.

Youtube comments in a nutshell. Everyone rushing to do the same 3 meme format commentsYup. Anything less than 30 and then idiot commenters won't be able to post:
Claire: I think I got this
Me: looks at the running time, "oh no Claire"
Every damn week with out fail x1000
I made the Making Perfect turkey and gravy for my family Thanksgiving today.
True.
Priya casually staring at the fire and doing nothing as the oven burned was super relatable.
