Um... Steamcharts actually track the concurrent users number only.

The one that tracks owned game numbers is SteamSpy, which is never accurate anymore since the GDPR update last year or so.

It's from SteamDB, who are aggregating the data direct from Steam
- - - except sales data, gathered from Steam Spy, as it says.

Steam Spy is absolutely not accurate anymore. It's range is entirely wrong

Yeah, that is hardly accurate. Also there's only about a thousand players online right now, you'd think that more of the early buyers would be on simultaneously assuming that number is correct.

It peaked in the top hundred at well over 8k, very significant for a VR game

Its also a working day very early in the most active regions. There is no reason to correlate anything from concurrent numbers at this kind of time

My point is that there's very good chances both numbers are wrong. And while I don't browse Steam stats that often, even during work hours it feels like 0.5% or less of the enthusiasts who bought it day 1 are not on it atm feels off. The game is doing great for a VR game but no reason to get questionable data to prove a point.

Sorry OP but the actual source is steamspy and not steamcharts. Its also not reliable.
