Can't wait! I hope all the mechanics work well with my Odyssey+, I know they say it supports Windows MR but I'm still a bit nervous.

Was kinda hoping for review code to be out there, get some of the larger outlets to review it before it comes out for extra exposure.

I'm going to save my Boneworks playthrough for when I eventually get a Valve Index down the line. Excited to read some impressions though, especially from those who will be playing with the Index controllers.

Really curious to see how this plays on with the Oculus Touch controllers. Also wish Oculus would release their official Link cable already.

Day one but a shame graphics have been downgraded from the original reveal if compared with the release trailer. Shadows are basically non-existent now.

C'mon, Christmas bonus.

A lot of VR games tend to not have pre-order functionality. You gotta wait until it releases.

Why? I have no idea, but it's dumb.

Indie titles in general don't have pre-orders on Steam as Valve recommends against offering a pre-purchase if you don't have the means to keep the game in the public eye in the run-up to release. The Steamworks documentation actually says "we do not support running a pre-purchase except in a few rare cases with partners with which we have a well-established relationship and that have a proven track record on Steam", but I believe this refers to setting up pre-orders via the Steamworks site as Valve will oblige if you ask (e.g. Neat Corporation is doing a pre-order for Budget Cuts 2 despite the game being only its third release).

Gonna be fun. Wish I could have afforded the Knuckles(edit: Index controllers) to get the full experience, but it should be fun with the Vive wands too.

Hopefully my 6600k will keep up since it looks to be the minimum.

Ordered a Valve Index kit to give all this VR stuff a go. Hope it's as cool as it looks. Half-Life: Alyx finally sold me to try VR out.

This year I have been waiting a week or two before deciding to purchase games, but I'm feeling the draw with this one. I'll purchase it two days* after release.

*Or sooner.

Got my knuckle controllers all ready to go. Wish I could have picked up an Index before launch, but Valve won't restock the standalone headset >:C

Either that or they put them up and they sell out super quick. I don't have time to refresh Steam all day damnit!

Super hyped.

Should work just fine
Don't see why not. Oculus Link is essentially tethered streaming, so if a game supports the Rift, it also supports a "linked" Quest.
Quest through a Link is treated as if you were playing on a Rift S, so it should be fine.

Ok. Cool. But the reason I asked is I remembered reading that link isn't compatible with all games

Holy hell. Grabbing the enemy out of mid air, then slamming them into a wall to kill it. Incredible. I'm *so* jealous of you PCVR users. I only have PSVR. I know one day it'll be on this level, but still, that trailer was incredible. That is what VR should be like, true 100% interactable with everything.

I have three Vive trackers I use for my waist and legs in things like VRChat. Do we know if this game supports those at all?

I have a feeling PSVR2 is going to be a huge upgrade over PSVR, including controllers. So you might get ports of Boneworks and HL:A whenever the new headset comes out. Might be years down the road but it will probably happen.

Same exact boat as you. Using the OG Vive with index controllers for now.

I HAVE refreshed steam all day for the past week and a half, and have never seen the standalone headset come into stock.
