March is already stacked and my hype is pretty much dead for this now.

Having put a few hundred hours into BL2 ... hmmmmmmmmm nah. Sorry Randy.

You took the Brinks truck offer from Tim and supported the walled garden approach to PC gaming.
The game is too similar to BL2 from what I've seen to garner excitement.
There's too much cool shit coming out in the near future for me to have time for your game.
The hype window has been shut for a long time since we waited so long.
You intentionally left a USB stick with questionable-age porn at a Medieval Times.

Good to see there is cross play. I recall seeing a Sweeney tweet where he said Epic was working on cross platform stuff with other platforms, but not Steam.

Never really got into the previous games. I'll pick it up when it's on a deep deep sale just in case it clicks. Releasing on EGS first certainly didn't help my interest.

I was initially very excited for this but not anymore. They've kept making the loot drops better and better as the "fans" kept whining and whining that they didn't get the drops they wanted. Apparently now even the Borderlands 2 drop rates aren't good enough for the "fans".
It's like they don't know what a loot game is. You're not supposed to get loot easily, the game is about the never ending chase for loot. When you have the best loot the game is over!
It's even reached levels of "I can only play a hour a day and I deserve to find the loot I want!"
Don't play a loot game if that is your attitude!

For those that haven't played it yet, imagine if Borderlands 2 was made in 2019, but with less interesting bad guys.

That's it, that's the game.

Are they really labeling it as crossplay?

WTF?

A PC game should work with the same PC game regardless of what store it's purchased from.
Some PC games are not compatible to each other depending on the store where you bought it. For example ARK Survival Evolved from the Microsoft Store and Steam are not compatible to each other because the Steam version supports mods while the MS version doesn't. There can technically exist "weaker" versions of a game when you bought it from a "weaker" store with less functionality. Same might apply to EGS games like Satisfactory once they release on Steam with modding.

Was literally thinking about this today. Doom Eternal, Borderlands 3, Doom 64 release in the same month on Steam.

EGS and Steam Cross play.. Really? Who gives a flying fuck about that. Give us console and PC crossplay.

Also wasn't BL3 supposed to come out on steam in April? They're a month early.

Either way i'll be getting it cheap just like metro exodus when it goes on sale for $5-$10.

I've not reached the endgame yet so I can't say anything about the quality/frequency of good weapon drops, but I can say that I'm currently at level 22 and the lootpool is middling-to-good at best. Some of the weapons have been interesting but I have yet to get any sort of drop that's had any "wow" factor. I will say I had a Legendary shield drop at one point that had some of the worst perks I've seen in the game (consumed 70% of my shield as health).

I will say that the game throws guns at you constantly but you're mostly looking at greens and blues.

Modding is not a Steam exclusive feature. It's specifically Microsoft Store (and by extension Game Pass) that prevents modding by blocking user access to the game folder. Satisfactory will have no issues with mods whether you have the Epic or Steam version.

I'm sure there are technical reasons why this is the case, but fuck off trying to big up cross play between store front versions as being a thing to be excited about. Seriously.

Not being able to play with other PC players because they bought it elsewhere would be fucking bollocks, not something to sell or promote as not being the case.

It's not about the technical aspect of modding, it's about the fact that most games fully rely on the Steam Workshop to provide the mod support / hosting.

I remember playing tons of hours of BL2 with my friends, but the hype for this one died long ago for some reason.

Yea playing for 10 hours a day in HOPES of getting a good gun is the way to go right? Go play destiny 2 or a SEA mmo. BL3 is the most playable and fun one yet. Flattening the damage and levels worked wonders. I was level 25 with a level 13 weapon absolutely wrecking shit and surviving more than a few bullets, if it was 1 2 or PS if be doing 1 damage and dying to gusts of wind.

The games not perfect, but giving players what they want has been the way to go for this series. You probably thought BL2 UVHM where slag and farming 24 hours a day for godroll bee's and other 0.0001% drop rate meta items was fun.
