Playing through the Jackpot DLC (which is a downright solid DLC through and through, save for maybe the overly linear impound level) you kind of forget how hard the base game is on M4 with the endless fucking annointed enemies and badass bandits with rocket launchers.

I'd be dead as fuck without Sustainment, Brainstormer and Maggie.

Is it server based redemption? If so, log into the game, get situated in a level, and then pull your internet connection. Should never sink up and you should be able to claim forever. That's how I got a bunch of golden keys, ha.

I'm not sure. Some people are saying that they turned off cloud saves, duplicated saves, and then just opened the chest repeatedly

Finally started the game and finally we have a Borderlands game with solid gunplay. Great upgrade over the old games. Picked FL4K and I like the pet :)

The fuck is going on with this god damn game?

It crashed on me twice and I also couldn't find a matchmaking group to save my life. I just played like 2 weeks ago and was getting groups like instantly....

I sat in the queue for a group for an hour without finding one. Even tried lowering the Mayhem level and everything.

Same issue for me as well. It's happened with an earlier patch or hotfix and then was fixed in the following one so hopefully this one is short lived as well.

Killed Pain and Terror tonight. That was pretty fantastic and a wonderful nod I wasn't aware of!

Hopefully I'll finish the game up this week and find a room to grind up to 53. I'm excited for my next playthrough to see how these sidequests pan out. I've skipped all but the first 3 or 4 you come across. Figure I'll do them at max level so the rewards have a chance at not sucking.

If you have a chance, put a point into Specialist Bear(green tree) for 25% more Iron Bear damage if you use the same gun on both Iron Bear hands, and maybe some points into Stainless Steel Bear(blue tree) for more extra damage, and equip double Vanquisher Rocket Pods.

You won't expect to see so much damage, especially considering how weak Iron Bear was in the early months of the game. Everytime I come across a Badass or Anointed, I just use Iron Bear, they go down so much quicker with it.

Thanks for the advice. After I made that post I realized how much I miss Iron Bear, I think I'll repsec next time I get on

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried Iron Bear's melee build? Any good? Fun to play?

Just finished the game. I hesitated to purchase it for 3 months because of some mixed reviews, particularly the negative review from PC Gamer US.

Overall, I actually quite enjoyed it. The guns are great, technically looked good and ran well (PC @ 1080p 60 FPS), a lot of maps to explore, minimal filler quests and content, some really good music tracks as well (though a bit drowned out by the loud sound effects ingame). On the negative, indeed some story and characters are subpar. I think at least 30% of the characters and subplots should have been left on the cutting room floor. But ultimately the game did arrive at a satisfying story finale.

Will take a break, but will be back for the DLCs once they are all out.

I love it. I had burst one with the 1% increase in damage for every consecutive hit that stacked, it tore shit up. Sadly it was level 50, it worked great until level 53 and then tailed off

Luckily another burst fire dropped but without that anointment

I'm surprised they still haven't fixed the bug where enemies get stuck behind walls in the Slaughter arenas. I'll admit I don't do them a lot, but I've seen it at least twice in Slaughterstar 3000 and once yesterday in Cistern(and this one was on the last wave of the last round, fuck that shit).

One thing I've been wondering is how many guns there really are in the game (I'm still super new), just hope its not the same few but dropping at higher levels as you level up.

Purples follow the same rules as whites, greens, and blues - a specific gun can be any one of those rarities. For example, you can get a Torgue Bangstick in common, uncommon, rare, and epic. The rarity is determined by the stats, weapon score, and anointments it has. Even then, sometimes it's finicky because you can definitely see blue versions of guns that are way better than the purple ones.

Those are annoying but a qusar grenade can fix it.

First time playing through the game and I picked up the handsome jack casino mission at level 16. I'm now level 23 and jumped into the mission and the enemy's and loot are all level 16. From what I read this DLC was supposed to scale with your level? Anyone had this issue?

  • Addressed a potential exploit where players were sometimes able to open the Rare Chest in Slaughterstar 3000 when entering Iron Bear's turret
  • Addressed a reported concern that Oversphere enemies occasionally would not shoot with their optic lasers in True Vault Hunter Mode or Mayhem Mode
  • Addressed a reported concern that placeholder swords were sometimes visible in Athenas
  • Addressed a reported concern that the Fabricator was sometimes letting loot drop outside of the map

I still don't know why every enemy I kill is radioactively exploding despite not using anything radioactive. There must be some passive somewhere I ain't seeing. Hell, when I bust open those annointed after I kill them, they explode and I start taking DOT until I die. Shit killed me like five times yesterday. What strangeness.

It is good but if it doesn't have a solid anointment it's useless imo, that's basically every weapon though once you're playing only m3/m4

You probably have some anointed gear that adds radioactive damage when you use your skill or something.

Yeah, I got decent anointment rolls on both event guns, so I was pretty thrilled.

Is there a good place to solo level quick? I'm 40 and want to hit 53 so I can start farming.

circle of slaughters on whichever highest mayhem level you can do effectively is prolly the fastest

Weird...I started a fresh character the other day and it gave me that option (to skip all the intro stuff). I started a fresh character last night and I was not afforded that choice again.

I've only seen the skip intro in TVHM playthroughs, and it only skips to the point when you meet Lilith.
