I wish the new mayhem levels launched with this, so far I'm digging it but not really being challenged. I felt like my first run through the last dlc kicked my ass.
I'm on mayhem 4 and definitely wish it started with the new mayhem levels as well, although I also think they need to look at rebalancing the transformer

They really should just nerf the Lob... here I am in Mayhem 4 doing the new DLC and it makes literally every other guns obsolete since everything melts with the Lob. Why should I use my good old Shredifier and Lucian Call when a single click or two of the Lob kill everything?
Haven't played the DLC very far yet, had fun talking to the crazed people with Moze's usual snarky comments. But I have a feeling it's going to be hard to beat the first DLC which had pretty cool setup and awesome OST.

I have a few Lobs still in the bank and I havent touched any since the buff, nice to see Gearbox's balancing is still as tight as ever lmao.

I do like the OST a lot so far though

Menu performance on pro got bumped up again. Only thing left to work out is the lag based delay when scrolling fast through weapons (it use to hitch)

So, haven't played since level capped was upped. Should I sell all of my level 50 legendaries?
Wait until you get some more gear at least. Especially if you use them for the utlity/anointments. My 300% damage Cutsman on Phaseslam was still doing work up until level 55 or so and I currently have a level 50 anointed transformer on as well.

New DLC is pretty neat so far although I did just get a crash which was annoying.

Just got started with this a couple of days ago and holy crap, is this everything I wanted from a sequel to Borderlands 2! I’m having a blast!

Big question for the thread though... did YOU like Rhys’s Siege moustache? I did, I thought he pulled it off!

In all seriousness though, tons of guns in this are super fun to use, and the triple action skill thing is nothing short of genius. FL4K is putting a lot of work in for me, and I’m loving using him! Can’t wait to get that Legendary Class Mod that makes his Hunter Skills proc on bosses with gun Damage.

I finished the story on monday at level 49 and farmed some Billies to 57 yesterday. Third chest I opened with a golden key had the Lob and it's just ridiculous. Everything just melts and the weapon isn't even anointed.

I guess there's an event where you can buy Legendaries from vending machines. I have to admit I missed it from Borderlands 1 but there it was rare, here it seems like every machine has some.

I didn't realize that was an event and thought they just buffed vending machine drop rates during mayhem levels. Finally my money has a use again lol.

Also mayhem 2.0 needs to come here ASAP, my gear at level 57 is shit so mayhem 4 is no fun but even with bad gear I kill everything just by looking in its general direction in mayhem 3.

Overall, a solid DLC.

Very much agree that Gaige is horribly underused. As always with returning favourites, especially former Vault Hunters, it sucks that they're relegated to such passive roles, like waiting at "safe houses" for us to finish off quests. I'm mostly a solo player, but having them at least accompany players longer on missions would be better than "Hey Vault Hunter, I'll just stick around here to watch out for any incoming threats".

In regards to The Lodge:

I know the Wanted Posters more or less are meant imply Salvador's return in future DLC, but it's weird how there's no Proprietor quest tied to at least trying to find him. Guess he's off world already.

Plus,

It bothers me that almost everyone who's sent a wedding gift is simply up in Sanctuary III just orbiting the plant. Might be tied to the VAs being unavailable for DLC work (apart from say, Claptrap and Moxxi), but it's very disappointing to see no one outside of Claptrap rock up for the special occasion.

Still working on the main game. The soundtrack is so good. Having a lot of fun. 50€ for a season pass is a no go for me, but apparently, the content so far is both good and plenty? I will wait until the rest is released and get the season pass in a deal when I need more Borderlands.

Super lttp. Just grabbed this yesterday. I love me a good loot game and since I am indoors at the moment, I thought it would be good to jump in. Playing on 1X and going with performance mode but I get these random 3 or 4 second long hitches. Super weird. Does not happen with res mode. Apart from that, I am enjoying it. Gunplay feels much better.

Got Amara to max level and overall it was a really fun experience. I wasn't sure if she'd top Maya and Lilith in terms of favorite siren but she definitely did. Only Moze is left now, but I'm not too worried about doing that at the moment.
Farming vending machines once you're lvl. 57 is a good way to rebuild the legendary collection a bit.
Yep. I've already managed to find some good gets by doing this.

I kind of disliked the Scholar battle.

I've never been a fan of BL trying to incorporate platforming stuff. I thought that they had realized that it sucked with Tiny Tina's DLC but apparently not. Jumping on/off moving platforms, even when they're not particularly difficult, is not what I want out of BL.

You can do that fight whille skiping the platform bits.

Yeah the lob is absolutely dumb

No anointment, negative mayhem modifiers and wrong element matching on mayhem 4 and it still absolutely shreds

Each DLC is gonna take you 6-8 hours for the main story alone

I just jumped back into this after getting the super deluxe edition cheap. When should I do the DLC? Does it matter? I see that I can do them even though I'm only level 13.

I would do the DLC after completing the main story. If you do it before you'll severely mess up the leveling of the main game. Do it after the main game and play it on a mayhem level so it scales with you all the way.

Why is Lob stupid broken? Was it buffed or something?

Just asking because a vending machine just gave me one. And it shreds

Yeah it was buffed a ton. Its damage was buffed tremendously and it shoots out 3 projectiles in a trigger pull now instead of 1. They also buffed its magazine size iirc.

Like it needed a buff but they went too far

Finished the DLC on Mayhem 2 - game was just raining legendaries, unlike my experience at the Casino. Really enjoyed the environments and the overall story.

Thanks to the level ups I got to put Megavore back on my FL4K just like old times.

The "rare hunt" achievement is annoying - it's one of those silly "viral" ones where your friend has to kill the enemy then a bounty appears in your Lodge, which gives you the credit. Vice versa if you want your friend to get the bounty.

I was wondering what was up with that. That and finding all the echo logs are gonna be annoying. Plus there's the Deathtrap one which is just dumb too.

Echo Logs is easy, there's only 18 and theres a vid on TrueAchievements that shows them.

Deathtrap is annoying but you can farm it

during the boss fight in the Dahl Ship, when the boss goes immune, enemies respawn. Deathtrap will use his super beam to one-shot the enemies. You can heal the boss by standing in the blood puddles that spawn. Just don't kill boss and you should be able to keep respawning enemies

I did that platforming boss yesterday and I'm not sure I understand the "platforming suck" complaint. It's not hard to jump on those rocks. Could be a different story on consoles I guess...

It's not that it's difficulty (although I did fail once) but that it's not what I want in BL3. I want cool guns, interesting skill trees, and enemies. When it leans into that, which is where it thrives, it's at its best, IMO. When it has platforming (I hated it in BL1 when going through the cavern/tunnel thing and have hated it in all BL games since) and NPCs that drone on and on then it loses my interest. I'm sure others disagree so I definitely don't think that I'm correct or others with different views are wrong.

Yeah the echo logs one is easy I just mean it's gonna be annoying.

And oh ok thought I'd need to go through the DLC again with another character to get the Deathtrap trophy.

Anyway I really loved both DLCs so far and enjoyed how long they are but my biggest disappointment is neither of them contribute to the endgame loop much at all.

Sure they have some bosses that will be farmed but where's the new proving grounds and circle of slaughters? They both have enough enemy types to justify it.

What are you doing, playing Fl4k without megavore?

How's the first 2 DLC? Saw the Super Deluxe edition which is supposed to include the season pass is being sold real cheap on GMG for a steam key. Didn't buy DLC on EGS but the price for that steam key on GMG is lower then I could get just the pass for anything else so I'm tempted.

They're both solid and relatively meaty as well.

So far the two DLCs have felt like actual DLC expansions and are worth the price. I enjoyed DLC2 a lot more than DLC1 myself but both are good.
