So this was posted from a Gearbox Twitch account that was testing the Echocast feature but was taken down quickly. Someone managed to re-up it to Streamable, though.




The clip itself is nothing special but there are a few interesting things to note:
  • Loot now has item scores (kinda like Destiny's light levels?)
  • Guns have a handling stat now
  • Amara's siren tattoos are orange in this clip, not blue (maybe they change depending on her action skill?)
  • Grenades have symbols that reflect how they work
  • New UI (looks slick IMO)
  • New Claptrap voice (this isn't really a surprise - not a fan myself)
  • Looks like they're going with the same scaling from The Pre-Sequel instead of Borderlands 2 (really nice change, imo)
  • Weapon manufacturer chests across the board
  • Handsome Jack is on a poster in the background
  • Challenges are back
  • Quest tracker

I don't know what they could change without loosing the Borderlands look, but that looks too much like B2 to me.

Man I wanna see the skill tree! I know we're only a couple days out but still..

edit: Kinda sorta saw it in that extended video. I don't have an issue with Claptrap, he seems the same despite a different VA.

the jump in visual fidelity is not that big but i'm ok with this if they used the money for more content and loot.

All borderlands games had more content than any looter shooter at launch, so i'm confident.

Even It's only two abilities but it's nice to know little about Amara's Skill Tree. She's going to be my first character to play as (unless their first DLC character is better if they sticks with their patterns like they did with first dlc characters for last two previous games.)
