The alt-fire stuff looks really excellent, and the enemy diversity is off the charts. Awesome stuff.

Yeah. In the demo clips above, you can hear Amara speaking when she talks to NPCs.
Oof, one of the characters has some of the flattest voice acting I've ever heard about a few minutes ago in the Twitch stream.
I thought it was a Gearbox presenter off camera at first, but I'm pretty sure it was in-game.

So since this seems to not be doing anything new with matchmaking as far as I can tell, how exactly did that work in 2 or Pre-Sequel. It's been a long time since I played 2. Can other players just join your game anytime? Can you set it for private or public. Can you actively matchmake with randoms or can you only set your game to public and hope people join?
Not all of them, I think. Vladof, Maliwan, Atlas, I think Torgue, those all do. Tediore has a reload gimmick, CoV has infinite ammo, Jakobs does Jakobs things (plus ricochets), Hyperion has their usual stuff plus a shield when aiming down sights. Not sure about S&S.
There is a classic mode for coop so I'd assume so. They only confirmed the mode to have the classic loot-stealing gameplay so far, I believe.
