I get the impression this game will get a lot of 8's from reviewers due to lack of innovation

Looks good but it feels more like Borderlands 2.5 than a full blown 3.

It's more of the same but "refined" same so I'm fine with it. Movement feels better and that's what I felt instantly. I like "the Apex slide" inclusion and better skill trees. It's just a good looter shooter and new animations of enemies you hit make them feel less bullet spongy.

Well I enjoyed the hell out of all the games thus far so I'm excited about BL3. I do wish that it seemed like a bigger jump into something new though because so far it definitely seems like 2.5 instead of 3 especially after having watched that IGN Final Preview. It's not gonna prevent me from buying the game, but I might wait a couple weeks after launch just to see how it pans out with people.
