Since my Mega Man thread was a total failure (despite it being a pretty popular series) let's go for the other series where you play as someone with an arm cannon.

I'll start off with some Echoes art. One of the best games in the franchise, thematically and aesthetically, since it dared to do its own thing. (It's my least favorite Metroid otherwise but that's another story)

Artist unknown, but definitely not me.

I never really thought much of what I wanted in MP4 until now, but yeah I want a nice huge world like BOTW or XBX.

Echoes produces such great art, probably because of how cool the suit redesigns are. I'm one of the rare souls that played Echoes before Prime, and it's still my favorite in the series.

The problem with fan art like this is, it always makes me wish we had actual games in the series that conveyed the same atmosphere, this feeling of sensation, these wide open landscapes, the spectacular look of a boss fight, or whatever it is for you.

I really wonder what art style they chose for Metroid Prime 4. I hope it's not cel-shading or cartoon-like. These cartoon characters in Metroid Prime 3 were beyond horrible.

There was a thread on Era a while back about a (famous?) artist's take on Samus, with a really grim, realistic looking rendition. I don't suppose anyone remembers that thread, or who made that art?

That GoW director thread reminded me it existed but I can't find it at all... (And to be clear, I know that artist has Samus art of his own.)
