*Aim Controller bundle is $79.99

Story:
The game is set in a fictional, modern day city in Eastern Europe. When your escort mission goes wrong it's up to you and a friend to survive as the city is thrown into turmoil. You'll need to think on your feet and work together as you battle through an intense journey of close calls and chaotic firefights.

Features:
TEAMWORK: Teamwork is at the core of the game. Bravo Team has been developed to allow both single player and online 2 player co-op. Player co-operation is key. Verbal communication between players is essential to make the decisions you need to survive and avoid (or navigate) enemy detection.

INTENSE IMMERSIVE ACTION: Bravo Team takes you on a heart-pumping journey of intense combat and split-second decision making. With the feel of an action movie, Bravo Team offers exciting combat situations, multiple scenario outcomes and a seamless, continuous environment to create a wholly immersive experience.

TOTAL CONTROL: Bravo Team puts you directly into the action. You'll need to lean round corners to take out targets or duck for cover if under fire. You'll raise the aim controller to view through the iron sight or hold above your head to blind fire.

DECISIONS UNDER FIRE: You'll make constant split-second tactical decisions about when to take cover, when to reload and when to engage. Should you lay down suppressing fire or try a different route? Who takes that new weapon? Players will need to think fast and act quickly to survive.

Additional Info:
How the Aim Controller impacts your Bravo Team experience:
We got our first look at this peripheral before Bravo Team was in development and we knew straight away that the opportunity to create for it was something we wanted to maximise.
The chance to give players something that would mimic the physical feeling and stance you take when of holding a weapon was something that especially appealed and we felt would be instrumental in drawing players further into the world we were creating.
The early days of development saw us using the Aim Controller to experiment with an assault gun style rifle. We would hold the Aim Controller high to look down the sights and take down targets and rest it gently in our hands as we lay in wait, ready to take aim at a moment's notice.

How you play Bravo Team with the Move controllers or the Dualshock 4:
We tested a number of different ways to see what would work best and provide the most natural and immersive experience. The solution was to treat each Move controller as a part of the same gun in the game. This means you get a really intuitive experience as your hands are in the same positions as your virtual hands, so aiming and shooting comes very easily.
Of course, you don't need to have any special controllers to be able to enjoy Bravo Team, as the game fully supports DS4 as well. We had to find ways to draw the player in and make them feel like their controller was an extension of themselves and their gameplay.

You can raise the DS4 and bring it up towards your eye-line to aim down the sights, aim it left and right which will move the gun in your chosen direction before you shoot. Although you are still holding it in the traditional manner, these commands very quickly become second nature and deliver a great experience.

Wow I didn't realize this was out so soon after Moss. Looks great and I'm sure it will be awesome to play with the Aim Controller. Nice OT!

Supermassive Games must be one of the most productive studios out there.
Their output this generation is impressive.

Nice little OT.

It looks like Europe is getting this on the 7th. Any news on weapon types besides what has been shown? I'm also wondering on how this plays on higher difficulty settings.

English video review that's positive. The game is more a strategy shooter. It has 3 difficulty modes, various co-op options, including AI. Also, has a score attack mode for replayability and that would be more akin to Time Crisis.

It does help to have a bunch of small projects (Tumblr VR, Hidden Agenda, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, Bravo Team, The Inpatient) with Until Dawn being their closest thing to a big-budget game. :P

Looking forward to this, probably going to preorder since I can get the $15 back with this and the sale.

Probably won't play tonight but can give impressions tomorrow with Aim and Pro

Just put 30 minutes in.

It is really, really bad. The entire design is just awful. You basically move from one cover point to the next one, press the "pop up above cover" button, shoot some enemies, then move to the next cover point.

But that's not the worst aspect. The actual gun play is just terrible. The code they use to determine where your gun is pointing is almost always wrong. Want to point the gun straight ahead? You'll be lucky if where you are pointing the Aim where the gun appears in the game. I found myself having to aim the controller like 30 degrees to my left or right to have it point forward in the game. I powered off my PS4 and rebooted thinking that might help.. it didn't. Reorienting by holding start didn't help either.

I have no idea how they screwed this up that bad, because in Farpoint it worked almost flawlessly. Rush of Blood had great gunplay as well... how did the same studio make this??

This is seriously one of the most disappointing VR games I've played to date. It takes the worst aspects of the completely done to death shooting galleries and somehow even manages to screw that up.

I would avoid this thing at all costs. If you're trying to decide between this and Moss, definitely go for Moss. If you want a fantastic shooter, get Farpoint.

Man, what happened with Supermassives VR output? Their first two games, Tumble VR and Rush are Blood are both considered pretty great. Then you get The Inpatient which is just mediocre and now you get Bravo Team which is apparently just straight up awful.

I'm sad. :(

Looks like Eurogamer agrees... calling it one of the worst shooters ever made:

"Bravo Team is a disastrous effort, a low budget shooter that I'd group with Rogue Warrior, Turning Point or Hour of Victory as one of the worst examples of the form, all from a development team that, in the past, has proven itself capable of brilliance. It fails to provide anything more than a threadbare feeling of immersion and it actually does the cause for VR as a credible platform more harm than good. I don't know what went wrong here and to be honest I'm not sure I even want to. I just want to draw a line underneath Bravo Team and forget it ever existed."

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...r-shooter-from-a-team-that-should-know-better

In my 30 minutes, I think I agree as well.

Yikes, this looks like a huge mess. =( Two big misses from Supermassive with this and The Inpatient. I'm assuming they just didn't get enough development time.

I actually enjoyed the first hour. Seems like I'm alone? I was expecting time crisis, and seems like im getting time crisis. Think the price is gonna bite them again. That being said, SuperM has been pretty sketchy and secretive about it, don't like that. The more transparency the better, so people have their expectations in check.

My favorite VR experiences have been the few shooters we've received so far and I would have even been down for a well done Time Crisis rip-off but this just looks abysmal.

Alvo and Firewall: Zero Hour can literally not get here soon enough.

Reviews are not looking great at all, this one is gonna get a pass from me, shame because it had potential. Luckily there are many good VR shooters already out now.

Looks like a boring, shitty cash grab. One reviewer said they should put an apology in the end credits just for making it through such a crap game lol

If this isn't as great as hoped it will be disappointing but kudos still has to go to supermassive for releasing not only two VR titles in quick succession but also attempting to create something new with both titles.

Whilst they might not have hit the mark they hoped for showing support for these titles will not only help the VR medium but also help the developer learn from these lessons.

My girlfriend bought me farpoint for Christmas without the damn aim controller. So I'll pick this up just for the aim controller. Hopefully it's a decent game too.

Don't buy it. Honestly not worth the price. It's bad. BAD! 5/10 for me.
I've never understood how 5/10, a score which suggests that something is empirically average, came to mean 'unplayable'.

In my mind at least, if this is that poor a title, surely its a 1/10 or a 2/10 if using that sort of scale?

Either way, I think we can all agree it sounds pretty dire. When my copy arrives I'll give it a try, but I'm not expecting much.

Reviews do not sound good, I would recommend that people read them before putting down 40 bones.

I expect more from Supermassive Games.

It's just how it is with game reviews now, it's the same with Rotten Tomatoes.

Yeah it'd be cool if everyone was like Edge and 5/10 really meant average, but it is what it is.

This game caught my eye and I wish there was a demo. I lost interest playing Farpoint so I'm a little skeptical about this even though this is much more into military style shooter than SciFi alien type games. Just wish there was a demo since PSVR game reviews are really hit or miss...

yup...it seems that supermassive's output after until dawn and rush of blood were all kinda......let's said not up to par...

did they overstretched themselves or were the until dawn titles basically just lightning in a bottle?

Got game plus controller for 60€ thats the best deal I ever found so I will stick with it. It's safer these days to not trust reviews too much anyways. So I am still exited to try it out m

I usually take VR reviews with a grain of salt, but really seems like this is genuinely bad. I'm not taking the risk for $40.

At last E3 it was abysmal.
Seriously, how could they come up with this mess after Farpoint showed the way? It's pretty mind-boggling.

Supermassive should VRemake some old shooters like Killzone or Resistance to redeem themselves or leave VR be for some time and work on a new Until Dawn game.

I posted this in the VR thread, and I will post again here:

This game is getting trashed :( Really unfortunate.

Just saw 2 more reviews from gamerankings. 3.5/10 from PSU and 4/10 from Critical Hit.

Excerpt from PSU: EDITOR'S NOTE: There was/is a restriction in place preventing us from uploading gameplay footage of Bravo Team to YouTube so you guys can see how it plays. Feel free to draw your own conclusions from that.

Shame this is crap I had high hopes, but with Moss, VRFC and Sprint Vector enough good VR games have come out in the last couple of weeks to worry about it.

Yeah it's pretty unfortunate :( While my first impressions aren't horrible, I think all the criticism are valid points, especially being that this is a 40 dollar game. When Sprint Vector is 20 and Moss 30 at launch, and are so top notch in so many ways, it's a bad look on Supermassive to launch 2 short titles with several technical issues at such a high price, then be secretive about details and disable streaming to try and hide early impressions which they probably assumed weren't gonna be good.

Okay, I was on the fence on this, but none of the reviews really bothered to discuss the Score Attack Mode, which is what an arcade game like Time Crisis is about. So, in the interest of a reference game being universally panned, I picked this game up for my own amusement. I'm pretty sure most, if not all, that talk about Time Crisis haven't bothered to play it for score, like most arcade games.

Anyway, spent an hour or so to get some quick impressions. This is patched at version 1.01. The Score Attack Mode is unlocked from the very start. Default movement from node to node is not the best using your gun to aim. I changed this in the Options menu to use head tracking for node movement, and this works much better. The 1st/ 3rd person switching can be jarring when moving nodes, but I just trained myself to observe the surroundings and prepared myself when my guy moved in 3rd person.

The size of your avatar being too big wasn't an issue. I checked how my real shoulders and gun placement was translated to virtual positioning, including gun sizes, and the ratio looked fine. I used the Aim controller. I didn't have any tracking issues with my setup. Although, fast gun movements did indicate some subtle lag.

Only played the first Bridge mission in Score Attack, and the scoring system summary is pictured above. There is a chaining system that keeps a meter filled for multipliers, and fast kills with fast movement keeps increasing the multiplier. Not sure what the highest is. The meter is also forgiving, in the sense that it gradually drops multipliers, rather than immediately dropping to zero.

There are six stages, typical for an arcade game, with scores saved for each stage. I've had some fun with this game in Score Attack Mode, and the really low scores for this game aren't indicative of this. There are far worse games that deserve such low scores. For the price, and what you get, is very subjective.

Reorienting by holding start didn't help either.

I've experienced pretty consistent drift with the AIM in farpoint.
I have to reset it/shake it after each kill to recenter the aiming, otherwise, the gun is rotated to point increasingly left of where the peripheral is actually pointed.

Is it gradual? or is it stuck permanently at the wrong angle? Because I haven't seen any reviews specifically mention that fault.
