I think it could be him as well. They got him on FARA cold. As far as the money laundering goes, Im sure they'll nail him on it, but I'm not certain they have it all figured out yet.

Can Mueller indict Trump? The obstruction charge is pretty open and shut, so if he wanted to really mindfuck Cheeto, indicting him for Obstruction would be great.

Manafort is a key money man, he's a huge get for the investigation.

If he does, Congress will either need to impeach him or approve of the firing of Mueller, and they don't want to have to do either.
I wasn't that familiar with Rick Gates, Manafort's protege, and why he would also be indicted. Luckily, the NY Times has a great article on him, How the Russia Investigation Entangled a Manafort Protégé. Well worth the read.
