She was 7 year old at this time, do you really think she made that salute because she wanted to show of her race superiority... or because her fuckhead nazi uncle wanted her to pose that way?
I tend to the second possiblity.

Can you please stop trying so hard to derail the thread with this bullshit?

What an empty, vacuous and entirely unneeded statement that was from May. Feels like it was made just to fill up air time and parliamentary time.

Did we know about this already? Spanish source - reddit translation
Gibraltar admits that there will be tax and customs agreements after the ' Brexit '

The Gibraltarian government says that London and the EU will sign a "specific protocol" on the rock

The Gibraltarian government has admitted that London and Brussels are finalising a "specific protocol" to apply to Gibraltar The future UK withdrawal pact and that this document will include agreements with Spain "that cover the cooperation Fiscal, police and customs cooperation, the environment, citizens ' rights and tobacco. " The negotiations have accelerated in the face of the European Council which takes place from Wednesday in Brussel
This sounds familiar though:
Despite optimism about the possibility that the agreement will be closed in the coming days, the government of Gibraltar insists that "no agreement is better than a bad agreement" and ensures that "it continues to prepare for all eventualities, including the possibility of a Brexit without agreement. " The protocol on Gibraltar is part of the general agreement of the Brexit. Without a general agreement, there is no specific agreement.
Things seem to be chugging along just fine, nonetheless. Would've thought that this issue would cause much more chaos, but it seems like people are keeping cool and actually doing that negotiation thing. Awesome.

Also, obligatory awwwww:

No agreement is better than a bad agreement in Gibraltar? Pretty sure Spain will be more than happy to prove that wrong given the chance.

Still, the simple fact that talks have been ongoing and apparently some sort of progress on a deal has been achieved is noteworthy, I think. News on Gibraltar had been rare and rather disturbing so far... the article mentions that spain climbed down on the airport issue, for example - which is by no means a small feat.

And yeah, a no deal outcome would completely destroy Gibraltar. I just found it hilarious how far the "no deal is better than a bad deal" trashtalk had spread.

So this paragraph from a Guardian article stood out to me.

The prime minister is expected to plead with EU leaders to drop their Irish backstop proposal at a make-or-break summit dinner on Wednesday night after seeking the support of members of her cabinet on Tuesday morning.

She does remember signing up to one, right? She must know that the Republic of Ireland is one of the nations she'd need to convince to drop the proposal?

Surely in this case, the island has very little integration with the European Union, given that it is a small island in the Caribbean?

A Spiegel Online report about Anguilla
http://www.spiegel.de/politik/ausla...aribik-bangen-um-ihre-existenz-a-1232353.html

basically:
- dependent on the Dutch airport on the next island and the ferry on the French part of the island to even get to their own island.
- patriotically British (they got literally up in arms when the UK tried to give them independence in the 60's)
- but feel abandoned by the UK
- the EU saved them financially in 2017 after Hurricane Irma, when 90% of the houses got damaged and the tourist trade halted
- while they only get alms from the UK
- but patriotically British...

It blows my mind that it has been over two years since the vote and still we're at a standstill over NI. It's going to go right up until we leave, isn't it?

BREXIT |OT2| You've already fucked a pig, so why not fuck an entire nation?

Dave Cameron will never be forgotten over this and shall always be referred to as the pig fucker because he fucked over a nation.

Hope he enjoys his little shed to live out his sad life knowing he took a nation that wasn't doing to badly and flushed it down the toilet.

Brexit OT2: this shit's chess. It ain't chequers.

This.
