Labour have multiple times stated quite clearly they back a second referendum???

They have not said they want remain on the ballot. They have not said they back remain.

They are still sitting on the fence.

People want a clear message. Members want a referendum and members want to remain. Corbyn is held hostage by Unite who do not want a referendum. Time to stop ignoring the membership, trade unionists, MP's and voters.

I expect in two weeks labour will say they want a referendum and back remain but the question will then be why has it taken so damn long to reach that position?

"only a majority or nearly half want the death penalty and corporal punishment at school for our kids, stop complaining about nothing"

I think you misunderstood, I was trying to say that saying this:
- make shopping incomprehensible
- more cancer in pubs
- lightbulbs nobody makes any more
Is disingenuous with there are real issues there (like leave voters strongly supporting the death penalty) to focus on.

There is no point in debating someone like Mark Francois his head is so far up his own arse his breath smells like shit. But who looks at their ballot paper and thinks yeh Peter Griffin is just what is needed in Parliament, an egg has more brain's then him, the pencil that is used to cast your vote has more of a backbone then him.

The country is hamstrung because its solely focused on this.

Yup. But you have to deal with things as they are, not as you wish them to be. That fixation is damaging, but it's not going to go away just cos. Not least because it affects, at minimum, a significant part of the economy.

'Japan's foreign minister has told the BBC that he is "very concerned" about the implications of a no-deal Brexit.
...

Carmakers were worried about the free-flow of parts to the UK from the EU if there was a no-deal Brexit, he said.
"Right now they have very smooth operations. Their stock for each part is only for a few hours. But if there is no-deal Brexit, and if they have to go through actual custom inspection physically, those operations may not be able to continue," he said.
"And many companies are worried about [the] implications because they don't know what's going to happen," he said, so they have started to move their operations to other places in Europe.

...

The UK has said it wants to join the trade pact known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership. He said that while this was possible, negotiations could not take place until the UK had left the EU.
While Japan would be happy to negotiate a new trade deal with the UK, "I think you have get out of the EU first before you can negotiate".
Asked if a free trade deal with Japan could be agreed by 31 October, he said: "I don't think so".
There would be "some kind of gap" before a deal could be ratified.

'Boris Johnson, has given an interview to ConservativeHome:

...

Here are the key points.

  • Johnson said he was committed to a general investigation into prejudice and discrimination in the Conservative party - instead of the specific inquiry into Islamophobia that he apparently signed up to last week. When asked if he would go ahead with the independent Islamophobia inquiry, which he appeared to endorse in the BBC debate last week when Sajid Javid, the home secretary, bounced all other candidates into agreeing the idea, he replied:

Well I took it up with Saj afterwards, and he said that actually, if I understand it correctly, what we've committed to is a general investigation into all types of prejudice and discrimination including antisemitism ... So yes, we'll have to study exactly what Saj has in mind, but it sounded like a sensible idea when he mentioned it.

This is specifically not what Javid was proposing. In the debate he said:

Do you all agree, guys? Shall we have an external investigation into the Conservative party on Islamophobia?

When the other candidates on stage appeared to agree, or at least not to dissent, Javid said: "Excellent, they agree."

  • He claimed that it was "very, very unlikely" that MPs would vote to delay Brexit again, but he refused to say what he would do if this happened. This claim from Johnson is almost certainly not true. The opposition parties, and dozens of of Tories MPs, are strongly opposed to a no-deal Brexit, and it is probable that, faced with a choice between no-deal and extending article 50 again, the Commons would vote for a further delay.'

Lol it doesn't take much to get thrown out of the cult. The responses are a sea of "unfollowed and blocked!". Now who are the cultists going to look to for lies with numbers?

First McDonnell and now Abbott starting to move. Corbyn's two closest allies.

Expect lab as a party to eventually back remain, but the trade unions who don't want to, get behind a second ref and that's it.

Collective responsibility as a shadow cabinet, but other arms of the party somewhat decide what they want.
