His family are with him in hospital, I didn't think you could have visitors in hospital whether you had covid or not?
From a quick Google search, UK hospitals are still allowing a visitor to stay in the room during the day for the general patient population. It’s weird that he’s allowed visitors as a COVID+ patient.

At my facility, COVID+ patients are allowed visitors only on a case by case basis, and most typically for end of life care/comfort measures.

My mum's just come out of hospital (miraculously). Absolutely no visitors allowed. Was absolutely soul destroying not being able to visit her, especially when things were looking bleak and we thought we would never get the chance to speak to her again.

As someone who works for a fundraising platform, he made it a ballache for me as we now get multiple calls a day where we have to explain that "The NHS" isn't a registered charity.

On the other hand he seemed like a damn good chap who wanted to do everything he could for others and boy did he do a lot. I certainly have very conflicted feelings about how his selflessness was harnessed by others but man, what a good and strong person who did a fantastic thing. RIP.

RIP

The actions of others around him, including his deification by the media, were not on the man himself - he seemed a decent chap doing whatever small thing he could.

Barbados is not some private island for wealthy British tourists wanting to 'take a gamble'. People live there and are trying to deal with the pandemic too.
This. Incredibly fucking irresponsible flying out of plague island under most circumstances. Let's face it though, his family look like a right set of fucking tories.
yea our country is currently trying to tackle a huge upsurge of cases that occured on Boxing day. We are about to go into lockdown tmr cuz of it. And yet you had ALOT of british tourists who been trying to skimp on the rules cuz they feel entitled and feel they can do what they want and leave the populace to pick up the peices after
