You could use http://isthereanydeal.com to see what the current best sell price and ask for less. Maybe even ask for what the cheapest price the game was and be willing to negotiate.Quick question about buying Steam Keys —
How do you know what a reasonable price to ask is, for a Steam Key? For instance, I’d like to buy Skyrim for Steam, but have no idea how much keys go for — EBay doesn’t really sell keys. Would it be the CD keys price? Is there anything to base it off of?
Interesting. OK Thanks. I know most Steam keys are dirt cheap after a few years on the market, where some hold their value slightly. Value is in the eye of the beholder, perhaps? You could use http://isthereanydeal.com to see what the current best sell price and ask for less. Can also search this thread for the game and see what it was listed at here.
So with Skyrim special edition https://isthereanydeal.com/game/elderscrollsvskyrimspecialedition/info/
avg low: ~$13
Yeah; if you go back through the thread a couple have sold at that price. Some are selling the ones with the extra Ice skin codes for $50.
Just basic supply and demand. Games that were a part of major bundles because they were so readily available are cheap. Occasionally a game gains some major traction after being bundled and the demand shoots up but supply plummets. Stardew Valley is the most prominent example of this in recent memory.
