For me tax is 10.5%, so that is $105, which is more than a few dollars off. I'm going to say it again, rule #5 is silly.

i think we all get the complaints around rule 5. ultimately the problem is that as a seller, it sucks. a seller can choose whatever price they feel and if a buyer is interested in a lower price, maybe shoot them a message, but otherwise move on. if a seller is getting no bites, they can infer that their price is probably not appealing.

secondly, posts complaining about prices clog up an otherwise decently no-BS thread.

Depending on your region, taxes on this is going to $100-110, and that case the OP has on his phone does not come with the phone, so you know, depending on the quality and brand, that's even extra. Of course it isn't a clear thing where either of us is right/wrong. I'd like to see rule #5 lifted on a temporary basis just to see what would happen. It wasn't like that rule has always existed. I'd say now more than ever with the 3000 series cards, PS5s, Xbox X, and whatever else is launched and in low supply discussion is even more warranted. If you want straight B/S/T go to craigslist, eBay, Amazon, etc...

We are on a discussion forum...and price discussion can be fun and most importantly informative. Again I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just saying there may be more value trying something different for a while. If it is a shit show, rule 5 comes back.

Just my thoughts, and I might be in the minority. In which case I can continue to try to refrain from price talk (unless I see a great seller like JoseDFrog catching shit for no reason).

i guess i don't understand at all what a "discussion" about listed prices will do other than drive sellers away. if i think a price is too high (or have an offer) i reach out to that user directly. i just did, in fact! the user countered with a fair halfway offer and i passed because i decided that was still too high for me, but that doesn't mean it's too high for anyone else.

Technically it's been like this for a while where other users would just quote the original post with a link to a cheaper option and no one complained. What mostly gets called out (and justifyably so) is, as you already said, when someone comes in with a "trust me I'm a cool guy, deffo not trying to scalp lol" type of post. I have more respect for the ones that just come in and just post a wts with a $300 profit margin and just link their feedback, sends a clear message.
