Strongly disagree, it encourages getting into fights. Plus I like longer battles.
It has to update 3 different game modes which each have different versions of the same file.
You guys must have some spotty internet, took me about 20 minutes to download the last 22gb update. 🤷🏻♂️
Going to finish up Dark Matter later in case they make it so you need to get the 2 new weapons done also.
Repairing reduces armor bullshit though. It brings the baseline up and makes pristine tier 2 and 3 armor less ridiculous in comparison.
I kind of wish they'd just delete armor and buff base HP to compensate, but even what we got now is definitely a step in the right direction. More armor for all is better than armor only for the lucky few and those who camp the whole game.
I will drop this game in a second if they add more weapons to that challenge. That would be such fucking bullshit.
Happy to see updates to the Blackout map and new maps for multiplayer. While I don't play as much as I did in the BO3 days, I still expect this COD to remain my main multiplayer shooter for some time, so good to see news.

Damn this is hilarious because my quad won a Blackout match the other day but the last circle had us totally trapped inside of Hydro Dam and we could've used that elevator! We couldn't climb the mountain rocks up to safety since the circle had closed in around us so we had to wait down below and see where it went. We ended winning but it was only because the dudes who were on top of hydro dam and who had us pinned down (right by this elevator) made the stupid decision to jump down and attack us. I have video of the whole ordeal. Probably the craziest win I've ever gotten.

People are so damn timid in the final circle. Often feels like they'd rather die to the collapse than fight you. You were the only one who did something (besides the guy running in the middle of the circle with zero cover...) and got to kill all of them one by one. Well deserved.
Does anyone else think this is totally backwards? Maps should be free to keep everyone together and new weapons and specialists should be locked behind season pass. You are punishing the people that paid for the maps with longer waiting times since it splits the community. Especially on PC.

OH god here come this argument again. I have played CoD for a decade almost and I have never once had a longer wait to get a game going because I had the map packs.
I honestly do not know where this myth that map packs cause huge wait times for games comes from.
I actually like this change because if you have armor on it'll give you a little more time to react when getting shot from the back. At that point your armor is gone anyway. In a 1v1 fight without getting jumped armor will definitely give people an edge against those who don't have it but it's the same situation as what we have now. Having armor beats not having it.
I've had the opposite experience. Paid map packs do split the online community.
Do such changes happen at the same time on all versions or is there the usual 7 days early on PS4 bullshit? I can understand maps, weapons and such but having two concurrent versions of the same Blackout map sounds counterintuitive.

It's absolutely the truth on PC. Since MW2 this has been an issue. I usually have to disable the DLC to get into matches at a reasonable time. Black Ops 1 is the sole exception since it was the last game with a server browser.
New maps are indeed locked behind the Season Pass
New weapons are unlocked by progressing through the Contraband Stream. We don't know which tiers yet (we do however know that the new Specialist is at Tier 1), but it's Tier 100 max.
200 Tiers is too much to get through honestly. I think 100 is fine. They didnt even have good stuff.
100 is indeed fine. Especially now that we have the daily tier skip and also Zombies wave 15 counts as a tier skip. But I wonder if they make the progress slower. Something bad is gonna happen... it's still Activision.

Armor repair isnt as bad as it seems. I did laugh when someone i was with in a squad thought it would regain his health too. He found out the hard way it didnt.
I honestly don't know, it confuses me. The way Treyarch is wording this update it seems like the map update will be across all platforms at the same time, but previous updates (Blightfather event, Bowie Knife addition) were 7 days exclusive to PS4.
Booted up to check and as of right now. All the Blackout updates are live! Fall foliage and armor repair is amazing so far. The audio seems way better too.
Looks like PS4 gets the new specialist first and new MP maps though?
Yeah im thinking content is 7 days on PS4 but updates are probably for all at the same time.
It's such a subtle change but the fall foliage makes the map feel different in really good way. I'm also loving the smoke coming from people diving so you can see them better and which way they're going.
