Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 |OT| Late to the party

Feel like the acoustic equipment is a lot stronger than it should be. You'd be surprised how easy kills can be when you have a visual cue of where the guys are coming from.
Other than what feels like inconsistent damage against players and what I can only describe as "typical CoD shit", this might be my favorite CoD in a long time.
Love the new health mechanic, ballistics, lack of jet packs, and the focus on specialists encouraging team play.
With that being said, no other game frustrates me like Call of Duty. Seems to be the running pattern.

Just came back from a long break.. last game I played was AW.
And man what is up with enemies being bullet sponge and me getting killed by 2 shots? Plus SMG damage is crap if you get just a bit away from the enemy
It runs extremely well. But be sure to download the latest driver. Before the driver I had some choppy framerates from time to time, after it's been smooth sailing for 3 hours.
Certainly nothing as iconic as Shadows Of Evil or memorable as the old zombie maps here.
They just seem to be over complicating things for the sake of doing so, sucking out all the fun in the process.

I'm going to buy it now, download it at work, copy the game to a USB and copy it to my PC at home because I've read you can do that on battlenet and it just works.

Btw: How is lag compensation in BO4, if any? Lag comp is what made IW seriously unplayable for me.
The acoustic equipment is basically a perk. .Other ones are a more effective syringe to heal faster and more often, armor plates and a couple other ones.
Acoustic sensor perk lights your radar up with a red cone to show you the direction of enemies. Doesn't really have to do with the actual sound design of the game lol

When I enable it I couldn't tell a difference in sound design. Just a visual cue on your mini map. Maybe it does and I haven't noticed. I believe dead silence counters acoustic sensor

I really hope they can make the blackout map with different asethetics too. Slap a jungle theme on it and then also a city theme and we're good. 2-3 BR map options would be great.
My friends plays on base PS4 and some on base Xbox. They all said it's very smooth!

Is this taking absolutely forever to install on PS4 for someone else? I got the game on disc, i have installed the update but right now its at 42% and one hour ago it was at 37.

Aw, I was looking on eBay to see if any Uber codes went up cheap, and saw this description.

What's the deal with the specialists? Do I have to play as one of them? Is the standard COD character customization there? (I haven't played this series since Advanced Warfare)
The gameplay feels very refined overall, going back to Black Ops III it feels more arcade-y in a way, this one seems a bit more serious with bullet drops, more consistent bullet patterns, less egregious sprays, and so on. I'm really digging it, can't wait to get home to play some more.
Yeah, the Specialists are the 10 playable characters in MP. And right now there's no character customization
