Stat bleed is one of the most interesting/frustrating parts of the dark matter grind

I'll give myself imaginary "bottom points" like 3.25 EKIA and if I drop below I'll pull out my bread and butter class and go hard for a few games to build the cushion back up

I still got - snipers, pistols, shot guns, knife remaining (so basically the most annoying ones)

SDM is the one Sniper Rifle that requires headshots rather than OHK. It's the worst sniper to go for on PC since MP is just people running full blast and hopping around corners.

Just join a hardcore game and equip long barrel and a longer scope

You'll get them all in one game depending on the map

The one-shot/headshot thing isn't that much of an issue for me. Where I break apart is with the bloodthirsties. I almost broke my mouse twice since I started doing snipers. It's insane how hard it is to get the five kills with the low firerate that the Koshka has. Funny enough I got my first bloodthirsty for the Outlaw done just a few games ago on bloody Nuketown of all maps, lol

finally got this game, once i hit rank 5 what's a good starting weapon to use for my custom loadout? jumping into a cod title this late feels weird, should be fun getting run over by people with map knowledge and tons of things unlocked.

I would start with the Auger or Titan. Auger is a beast with High Caliber 1/2. Titan is a solid LMG with little recoil and always a 4 shot kill. Stim or Sensor as your gear and get to level 18 for Dead Silence.

There are those two big office buildings on the hill by Hydro Dam in Blackout. I parachuted right to the front door of the building closest to the dam and my duo partner to the other building. I walked in and started looking for a weapon. No one came through the first floor except my partner, but when we went up to the second floor we were ambushed. The ICR-7 is a good starting weapon. I like the KN-57 a bit more, but I prestiged the ICR-7 and went for all camouflages before switchting to another weapon. I played with Grip, Quick Draw and I think Long Barrel. For the perks I recommend Gung-Ho, Lightweight and Dead Silence or Ghost. Your gear is good. Always go for Stim or Acoustic Sensor. If you manage to get some kills without dying then the Comsec is really really great if you play Crash. You'll get very easy streaks.

Of course the best is if you figure out what fits you the most, but that is what helped me as a noob the most.

XP and tiers are gone. I got a weird game right after the hour changed where double XP was gone but there still was double tier progression. But now it's gone too.

I got halfway through Tier 168, maybe I'll be able to get to 200 in 14 days.

All you need for the ICR is Grip and Grip 2. And an optical if you want. Then you can snipe people across the map with it.

Is anyone else running into major server stutters when playing regular MP? Several of the matches I played over the weekend were plagued with stutters, where I'm moving and then suddenly get kicked back a few steps, over and over throughout the match. I'm in the US. I did not have this issue with IW.

Treyarch needs to get their shit together in regards to framerate. Black Ops 3 was rock solid from day one, but BO4 has been the exact opposite since day one and 6 weeks later it's no better.

On PS4 Pro the multiplayer frequently dips below 60. The drops are not severe, but they're still noticeable, and it's very annoying.

Double XP was very kind to me. Managed to grind out the last 15 levels to get my first prestige and made it all the way to 50 on my second prestige without playing for 2 of the days. Also made it to tier 50 on the Contraband so not bad.

You're going to have to let your KD tank or you won't be getting dark matter, simple as that. I'm also on PC and made the choice to go for it. Koshka and Outlaw were easily the worst, if you level them up enough you can probably get them down in core instead of HC, the problem is that is takes forever to level up snipers so I finished those 2 in HC. The strife and the crappy rk7 (which I'm on now) are also better in HC. The SDM is definitely the easiest, with high cal its a one tap in the head. I haven't even checked my ekia in awhile, before going for dark matter it was 2.27, and I'd guess it's around 1.8-1.9 now but I've grown to not care.

Shotguns and pistols weren't bad, except the rk7 which I'm doing now. Run around with gung ho and a shotgun and it wrecks, the strife is amazing in HC and the mozu is great even in core - once you get the scope and OP mod it's extremely fun to use.

I agree, everything is garbage. I'm sitting on 4900 CP thanks to the digital deluxe and some leftovers. Everything they're offering are in the Reserve boxes, yes? Wait it out for the eventual weapons they'll start putting in.

Anyone else have issues with Tags? No matter what you equip, that damn chicken keeps popping up, lol.

And yea, Theater Mode needs alot of fixing. So many moments I've wanted to watch from different perspectives.

You still have the chicken in the Quick Slot. Have to change that in order for the tag to be a quick button press.

Can anyone recommend a gun for grinding out these last 60 or so 1-shot-1-kill headshots I need? I've just been using the first tactical gun in hardcore mode because I can't use a sniper for shit lol.

Just wondering if there was a better option.

Any gun is a one shot in the head in HC, LMGs are really easy.

SDM is similar to the DMR in that it's semi-auto. It's a one-shot headshot in core if you use High Caliber.

But I couldn't help it, seeing all that double XP go to nothing because I was capped was driving me nuts.

On the recommendation of guys on here. I finally unlocked the second FMJ for the titan to take out the pesky killstreaks....

It isn't as good as you guys made out. A snipers nest can still take you out multiple times before you can effectively get shots on. It's a decent solution, but it isn't that much better than rockets with fast lock.

i know.

But, even with engineer it can be really difficult. Especially with the map design. If your looking for a killstreak in the air, your probably going to get shot.

Not played with it a hell of a lot, but i'm finding the tactics of getting cover with rockets and repeatedly jumping out for a quick shot far more effective than the double FMJ method.

The Support default class is absolutely destructive on Nuketown Domination. So easy to take people down from across the map with the Titan with FMJ2 - it can shoot through multiple surfaces. It feels like cheating.

Safeguard (Black Ops 3 mode in which one team has to escort a robot while the other team has to stop them) has been added, along with Seaside Sunset and Firing Range Night. Pretty sure PS4 only for now but not 100% sure.
