TBF, delivering services in any rural area is going to be a challenge. Saskatchewan is similar to Manitoba in that there's only so many tax dollars to go around.The population on that island isn’t that much more than Red Deer. Devoting money out of a federal budget over the course of decades to fix critical infrastructure etc. shouldn’t be so difficult. It sounds worse than rural Manitoba where I grew up, and I thought Manitoba’s healthcare and infrastructure were a joke.
Alberta lucked out by having resource revenues, but without them, we'd be in a similar state.
