Trying to figure out if invoking religion is a smart move for his campaign. It's a fairly rare move in Canadian politics and I don't think the majority of Canadians will like it. It appeals to his core voters but why bother with that when they're already going to vote for him no matter what?
I'm pretty sure he's actually religious though. He's been voting on religious-backed socially conservative policies for a long time, not just since he became party leader. Also part of the Knights of Columbus.
