For the fiscal year ending March 2020, Capcom shipped:
- 3.25M units of Packaged Software for PS4.
- 1.15M units of Packaged Software for Nintendo Switch.
- 300k units of Packaged Software for Xbox One.
- 200k units of Packaged Software for PC.

The percentages in the thread title for each platform were for the percentage of physical units making up the 4.95M units physical total for the fiscal year ending March 2020.

Physical and Digital sales breakdown -

For the fiscal year ending March 2020:

Packaged software shipped = 4.95M units (Down 51.5% YoY)
Packaged software sales = 12.9B yen (Down 64% YoY)

Full-game downloads = 20.55M units (Up 34.5% YoY)
Digital sales = 42.6 B yen (Up 3.9% YoY)


Forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2021:

Packaged software sales = 15.9B yen

Digital sales = 45.0B yen

Note:
- A reminder that Packaged Software sales doesn't include Digital Downloads.
- "Full-game download" includes the titles distributed only by download.
- Capcom's Digital Sales includes Full-game downloads and DLC. See lasts year's thread linked below where the data shown by Capcom's Annual Report shows this.
- A reminder that there's no platform breakdown for Full-game downloads, it is not referring to PC only.

If you want to do SKU counting for each platform then here is what is speculated for what was counted in FY3/20 -

There were 120.5M physical software sold on PS4 in FY ending March 2020
So Capcom shipments represent 2.70% of total PS4 physical software shipments during this fiscal year

It is disgusting to see Capcom getting way better Nintendo Switch sales than they deserve.

How the hell did the even sell over 1 million physical units when they don't even bother to release games in Europe?

Xbox One is such a software seller powerhouse for Japanese games.

Capcom has 0 retail presence in Europe on Switch and they manage to ship so much software, that's really weird.

DMC5 released during FY3/19 so it's not a new title for FY3/20 to have any shipments reflected.

Edit:

Correction, there's only two SKUs listed for Xbox One and we know Capcom released two physical titles: Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition and Mega Man XZ Legacy Collection.

So unless DMC5 actually soldout physically for Capcom to ship new copies in FY3/20, then it's not reflected.

All three years are really bad for Xbox... and really make you wonder why they don't put more effort on Switch. Wonder how the PC numbers would look if they included digital sales.

So what's the split on the download numbers because those absolutely dwarf physical discs going by those end numbers.

Pretty much mw world iceborn was the only release for both ps4 and xbox, the rest of the sales exist out of ongoing sales. DMC5 came to gamepass in fyi 2020, monster hunter world was also on gamepass. Makes me think that Capcom relies on ps4 and pc sales and take the gamepass money as extra revenue.

It's already mentioned in the OP that MHW Iceborne Master Edition and Mega Man XZ Legacy Collection were the only physical releases for Xbox One and fit the 2 SKUs listed for physical shipments for Xbox One for the fiscal year.

Digital versions are listed as "Full-game downloads" and any sales for DMCV and other catalogue titles would be there but Capcom doesn't disclose the platform breakdown for digital downloads.

We know Capcom is relying more on digital sales over physical, I was just pointing out that unless there's a physical title with legs, you're usually not going to see more physical shipments of a catalogue game for the next fiscal year since Capcom relies more on discounting digital titles.

They must be making a fuckton of money on Swich. Those RE games go for around £6 on sale on PS4, and at best £20 on Swich.

The SKU breakdown consists of new titles mainly. It is difficult to know if Resident Evil Remake 2 had new physical shipments in the next fiscal year after it released.

There is no physical version of Resident Evil 3 in Japan and the Overseas release of Resident Evil 3 on all platforms isn't counted for FY3/20.

Capcom's support for Switch is too good, those games should really be multiplatform.

That may be why they release jack all on the system: they've been trying their damnedest, but they keep applying for the wrong system. A future Nintendo Swich would have a pretty great library if it ever comes out.

Maybe it's a good idea for Nintendo to release the Swich before the Succ?
