Found the schedule!

  • 14:05 JST – Capcom Adult Masterpiece Series Special Stage
  • 15:00 JST – Capcom Adult Masterpiece Series Studio Interview
Same time as the Tales of Arise stream argh. Well have to watch both simultaneously.

edit: ok not quite the same time, but the Arise stream starts while the Capcom one is still going.

Somewhere.
So a little more than a hour now? Be interesting to see what this is, but I guessing it is probably going to be more ports. But hey, maybe just maybe, a port of Dino Crisis 1 & 2? :P

Please

Ace Attorney is for kids, correct?

Yes, but as mentioned before, doesn't mean stuff like it is off the table. Just this is a collection for Adults who fondly look back on some of the games when they were younger. So stuff like Devil May Cry (which is actively part of this), Breath of Fire, Rival Schools, etc., can be apart of this. Will they? God only knows.

Having said that, Ace Attorney is still an active IP, is getting an occasional anime and manga adaptation, and collections and likely new games, probably won't be part of this, especially given these are active Switch ports, focusing on the Switch.

Given the focus on DMC and RE in those promo pictures, I think the announcements will be from one of those two franchises. RE2 Classic

Oh, gotcha, my bad!

Well, we'll likely get a new Ace Attorney... Mobile only game with a Season 3 Adaptation by A-1 Pictures & Cloverworks. :(( At least we may get more manga material adapted and Kaoru Wada doing more music for the anime, at least?

Personally hoping for:

- DMC3
- MvC Collection
- Dino Crisis Collection
Man I really want MvC3 on Switch. What awful timing for MvCI to bomb like that...Hope the bridge isn't burned between Capcom and Marvel. Speaking of fighting games, I kind of would want USF4 on Switch as well, just to make things complete. I know there's no chance of V, so getting 4 portable (outside of the low res 3ds version) would be great.

I once played MVC3 on a Vita and it feels so good to play it on a handheld. Really hoping for that.

DANG, so little chance of AA4-6 Compilation as was rumored last year. :(

A new Ace Attorney would make me soooo happy.

So it's not gonna happen.

Honestly, thinking on it, if I'd have to guess, depending on what Yomiuri TV does for the Spring season, if they bring back Ace Attorney next year for a third season, guessing a collection of the second half ported to Switch and other platforms. Mix is ending soon, so we'll get a good idea if that's coming back next year or not. But for a new game? Probably nothing. Not for awhile, at least.

So we are getting new port announcements?

We don't know. Schedule information suggests no currently, so gonna go with that, but they could do a surprise announcement near the end or something.

EDIT: Looking at the schedule and how long it is... I feel like given how long it'll go on for, there might be some more stuff not indicated. Then again, they could also be talking a lot about Toraware no Paruma largely during the second half, so who knows.

So I've never played (or been especially interested in) one of these games. But what's with the loading screens every ten seconds? I know it's an old PS2 title but that surprised me.
The maps in the older games used to be segmented by areas, broken up by loading screens. At least as far as the PS2 and PSP entries were concerned, there was only so much they could do with the memory to maintain the level of detail for each area, especially with them being so multiplayer-heavy, and it kinda just stuck to it throughout the first four generations of games, as well as having some abstraction in terms of in-game explanation by having the loading screens represent the player traveling through the boring parts to get to the real meat of the maps. The 3DS installments had very short load times between area transitions, even with the maps getting more detailed and more complex in terms of geometry and interactivity. World dropped all that for seamless maps and swifter navigation, though at times, there are parts on a couple of the maps where you do wish that they had loading screens instead.

Cool, thanks for the explanation! I was sincerely curious because it really did some rather excessive in that video.

The early days of online-focused games on console hardware were certainly a teething period, to say the least. The Resident Evil Outbreak games were rather notorious in the loading department as well, though you could alleviate them with an optional HDD install feature, provided you had a HDD installed on your PS2 Fat with the network adapter.
