The one starting today would be 'this Winter', I suppose."Next Winter" as in the one starting today or is it more like a "yeah, more than a year in advance for a remaster announcement"?
Gosh.
I'm starting to think Rin is just a cross dresser, or maybe androgynous.See a lot of speculation on twitter that Rin will be transgender based upon the name being genderless and some other images. Here is hoping Atlus does a respectable job with the writing if it's true and it's not just an excuse for gay panic jokes :|
Sexual tension was quite big theme in the original Catherine. The first game wasn't actually that focused on it, and more about the surreal and even horror. I don't need more sex introduced to Catherine.
Didn't she help Vincent by "teaching him a new set of values" or something? I fully believe that means pegging.See a lot of speculation on twitter that Rin will be transgender based upon the name being genderless and some other images. I mean, it's obvious that a lot of Catherine had to do with sexuality. I spent a lot of time with the game, getting all of the endings and everything. But it wasn't all about "sexy events" and the Catherine pics that she sends to Vincent on his cell phone.
Judging from past moderation decisions, you're going to get this thread locked. At least spoiler tag it.
Nah.
I'm honestly thinking crossdresser.I'm starting to think Rin is just a cross dresser, or maybe androgynous.
Yeah, taking into account development is more or less 50% complete according to famitsu it's to expect. However my post was a little bit more complaining about announcing a remaster with such advance.
If this actually is the case, it seems a bit quick to be jumping on judgement despite past grievances. Especially since this character is the main marketing for the remake.I'll post this here about Rin likely being transgender

I'm honestly thinking crossdresser.
If so I'm kinda disappointed in his reaction, I'd be pleasantly surprised.
You know what it means.
its just a year... Doubt this is gonna be FFVII level lol
How on earth did that conclusion happen?I'll post this here about Rin likely being transgender

It's not just a year. It's a year for Japan. It's longer for us.
There's an emphasis on "erotic" for Full Body that I don't think I'm too into. The first game wasn't actually that focused on it, and more about the surreal and even horror. I don't need more sex introduced to Catherine.
Like, look at something as simple as the "Atlus" logo treatment. For "Full Body," it's a play on pixel censorship. For the old game, it's an unsettling atmosphere and blood.

The marketing material about the original release was all about the sexy though.Didn't really feel the trailer that much.
New gameplay looks good but story wise it was mostly focused on older contents that we've seen in the og Catherine before and the little new scenes that they showed were focused on being "sexy" which is something that I was worried about. Still has a long way till 2019 tho, so I'm keeping an eye on this.
Whynotboth.gifThe other teory is that she is just ....going to trow him in jail
So the main speculation is that the game is either pedophile or transphobic yaaaay
Vincent's intended to be the everyguy (and a bit more accurately done by being more of a selfish asshole than the generic nice guy), so yeah. It wouldn't be surprising for that to be an initial reaction. It'd mostly depend on how the story's handled afterwards......which isn't something expected to be done well considering their history.Vincent reaction is honestly natural. Who wouldn't be surprised if they woke up with someone who turned out not to be who they thought they were? I'm bi so if it happened to me I'd be surprised but I wouldn't be upset but I can definitely see someone upset if they were straight.
Is the overreaction cheesy? Yeah.
I just hope they handle the afterwards much better.
You're right about how the original marketing was presented. Made it seem way more focused on sex than it is, so I suppose they could be doing the same here. But, again, the actual game wasn't like that, and I hope that their "sexy event" additions and such don't push the balance that way.Ehh, that trailer you linked is highly erotic. There's like 30 seconds of it dedicated to a sex scene, another minute or so with camera angles focused on Catherine's figure and cleavage. If the game wasn't that focused on it, they sure picked a strange way to market it.
Either way though, sex and horror have been intrinsically linked in fiction for centuries, maybe even millennia. Humans love being aroused and terrified at the same time.
