CDPR says that they are not changing their plans and they will release 2 AAA games by 2021. One of those is obviously Cyberpunk 2077.

Here is CDPR's statement translated to English:
"As far as the strategy of the CD PROJEKT Capital Group for 2016-2021 is concerned, its plans to release the second AAA game by 2021 remain unchanged. We are currently focusing on the production and promotion of Cyberpunk, so we do not want to comment on further projects.

I would say we can expect a reveal of another game quite soon.

Edit: People were suggesting it's old news. It's not. Here is a link to official CDPR forums where you can find CDPR' employee post from 18th March 2019.

Could the second game be in partnership with Sony? Asking because of the recent youtube vidocs on the Sony channel.

I am fully invested into the CDPR universe. Give me their games, day 1 purchases. They have been more than generous with PC gamers. Anything they do, they do with quality and professionalism.

I *strongly* think Cyberpunk is a spring 2020 release, barring sigificant delays at this point.

Give me the something set in The Witcher's world but let it all be Skyrim.

Set narrative paths with custom created characters.

Oh, and good gameplay please.

I like what someone mentioned in another thread.

July 7th 2020 release date. Falls on a Tuesday.

20/7/7

They have announced their plans a year ago but they have just confirmed that they are sticking to the plan.

Comment from Dorota Popławska, CD Projekt Moderator from 18th March 2019:
Dzień dobry,
Jeżeli chodzi o strategię Grupy Kapitałowej CD PROJEKT na lata 2016-2021 jej plany odnośnie wydania drugiej gry AAA do 2021 r. pozostają bez zmian.
Obecnie skupiamy się na produkcji i promocji Cyberpunka, wiec nie chcemy komentować dalszych projektów.
Pozdrawiam
Donata Popławska

Which translates to what I have written in the OP.

Maybe a witcher game should be a witcher game with defined protagonist? And narrative focus , ya know like previous witcher games and where CDPRs strengths lie? You can have your custom characters in elder scrolls, fallouts and dragon ages

They stated this before, but people assumed thronebreaker was the 2nd mystery project RPG.

Apparently, they were wrong.

I wonder what the other one could be. Do they have 2 development teams or are they really planning on doing a game after Cyberpunk 2077 quickly in that short timeframe?

The Witcher's world is full of mages, mage hunters, vampires, werewolf, wizards, Elfs, shapeshifters, mutants and Witchers. And all manner of fantasy creatures.

But we can only be Witcher?s. Nah. Let us be a random civilian and let us choose our paths in the world.

It'll be a good depart from the Witcher saga after 3 games and more of an opportunity to delve into the world and create more stories.

I can provide you with links to multiple polish websites which are reporting on it currently.
I get Google alerts for this, so I'm aware it came up on some sites again this week, but the moderator is repeating the statement in my opinion. I don't believe they went and got new confirmation.

This is like the Lady Gaga rumor. It's source is still last year and debunked despite new sites picking up on it just this month like it is an update.

Witcher 4 seems like it'd be a huge undertaking so there's probably less than a 1% chance that's it, huh?

Besides being a CDPR's forum moderator, she is an investor relations specialist and I can guarantee you that she knows what she says. It's not a rumour otherwise you know the consequences of misleading investors.

I mean, the game is called Witcher. You do realize what that means? You can be random civilian, the chosen one in every other AAA fantasy RPG that lets you create your own character. I rather have defined protagonist with backstory and relationships
