In the same way that shooting somebody and immediately saying “sorry i shot you... there’s no defense for that” to that person is a start.
This apology already doesn't matter considering it's the second time management has apologized for something crunch related, although I guess the first was to the families of employees...
Gonna be even more awk when he tells the board again how there isn't crunch and J. Schreier is making it all up. But not as awkward as when he sends another email to employees talking about how he just doesn't know what's wrong and why he can't stop lying about crunch. But don't worry, he's on slack and in the board room if you want to speak with them. EXCEPT EMPLOYEES DON'T HAVE TIME BECAUSE THEIR FUCKING CRUNCHING.
Fuck that dude. You should have known better from the start. What leaders say to investors are often how they truly feel about their workers and company priorities. Which is almost always the bottom line. It's definitely not gonna fix the mess of issues involving crunch or transphobia. That should have been mentioned before. And nothing was said. Seems like a mealymouthed attempt to give both sides what they want. For loyalists (and Game Informer) we have a dismissive statement about how crunch isn’t bad and workers actually like/want to do it. For everyone else we have an apology without any indication of actual changes or relief.
I mean, it beats the typical 'im sorry if anyone was offended' BS we usually see.
That's about it though.
The only reason he's saying this now because the investors were bringing up the crunch and delays, so he couldn't keep handwaving it away. Don't believe any of it until actual changes start happening.
