"Given the expected release of Cyberpunk 2077 in September, and speaking of a series of events we expect to occur after that date, 2021 appears unlikely as a release date for the Cyberpunk multiplayer," says Michał Nowakowski, CD Projekt's Member of the Board and SVP of Business Development.

Nowakowski also confirmed that the "triple-A" title CD Projekt Red is developing in parallel to Cyberpunk 2077 is the Cyberpunk multiplayer.

The only thing better than playing Cyberpunk 2077 is playing Cyberpunk 2077 with your friends.

Unless you have no friends I guess.

Hopethe multiplayer is better than red dead 2. Really want the world to be than a map to go against other players in combat.

Duh.

Still can't believe people thought we'd get a 2077->Witcher 4 turnaround in a year.

So wait are Cyberpunk and TLOU2 doing the same thing with a single player release, then a standalone multiplayer game releasing at another date?

Shame but I'd rather them take the time they need. With ff7 getting pushed into April it's not like I was gonna be light on games....when I even have the time

Well we obviously weren't getting a new Witcher game any time soon. I wonder if the multiplayer is an excuse to re-sell an enhanced version of Cyberpunk to next-gen console owners?

So no witcher 4 in development?
Likely in pre production and planning stage but CDPR has said they're not currently in a position to develop multiple large titles at once but they plan to move toward doing so in the future. 2077 started dev proper after W3 released so I'd imagine the case will be the same for W4 with maybe more people allocated to working on a second title as well.

Bruvs, you just got nearly a decade of The Witcher. Time for Gerald to go take a nap. Watch him do it on Netflix.

Hm was thinking they would do witcher 4 in 2021 and release it around the time of season 2 release on netflix

How could they pull this off? Cyberpunk had to wait to get into full development till after they finished witcher 3. I think they even pulled folk from cyberpunk to finish witcher at one point.

Lol at people expecting The Witcher 4 this soon.

The Witcher 4 will happen in 2025 or 2026
Seriously. It's like people still don't understand the current AAA gaming landscape. Massive games like this take forever to make now.

I didn't want a Cyberpunk MP but ok I guess. Was hoping that second title was Witcher 4. Guess we won't be seeing that for a long time.

Right? There was no fucking way. The next Witcher game isn't coming until much later. They should totally do a remaster/remake of W1 and W2 for consoles though, as a bridge to whatever they do next, and put the whole trilogy in one collection. That shit would sell especially with the Netflix show.
