CDPR confirms the second AAA title in development was CyberPunk multiplayer, 2021 release is unlikely

AAA game for 2021 sounded exciting.
But maybe news that its just multiplayer of a franchise they haven't released yet is why they only told financial analysts rather than fans.

dont know if its not in development, but it wasnt the "2nd AAA title by 2021" that CDPR were talking about in their financial reports.
Yup, that thing utterly rakes in cash in the real world (aka as distinguished from forums etc).
Shame but I'd rather them take the time they need. With ff7 getting pushed into April it's not like I was gonna be light on games....when I even have the time
Hm was thinking they would do witcher 4 in 2021 and release it around the time of season 2 release on netflix
Likely in pre production and planning stage but CDPR has said they're not currently in a position to develop multiple large titles at once but they plan to move toward doing so in the future. 2077 started dev proper after W3 released so I'd imagine the case will be the same for W4 with maybe more people allocated to working on a second title as well.
How could they pull this off? Cyberpunk had to wait to get into full development till after they finished witcher 3. I think they even pulled folk from cyberpunk to finish witcher at one point.
What publisher would want a recurring source of revenue like that when they can take on new challenges, exploring new worlds and experience developing TW4.
Seriously. It's like people still don't understand the current AAA gaming landscape. Massive games like this take forever to make now.

Honestly I imagined that they might be doing a spin off linear Witcher game rather than the Witcher 4, might have been possible.
Right? There was no fucking way. The next Witcher game isn't coming until much later. They should totally do a remaster/remake of W1 and W2 for consoles though, as a bridge to whatever they do next, and put the whole trilogy in one collection. That shit would sell especially with the Netflix show.
