Not sure about anyone else, but I follow the local Los Angeles tv stations on twitter, so I hear about them pretty quickly if I have the twitter tab up and I'm not busy at work.
ABC7, NBClosangel;es, KTLA5, CBS2/KCAL9, Fox11 are the five local stations.
