Chinese swimmer Sun Yang banned for eight years

Chinese multiple world and Olympic swimming champion Sun Yang has been banned from the sport for eight years after destroying a doping sample.

No, this is incredibly irresponsible and dangerous. You want these athletes to start dropping like flies once they hit their 40's.

As a wrestling fan all I have to do look back on the 80's and 90's and see just how many people from that time period are not around due to steroid related heart failures.

Jokes aside, i remember this little swimming match being a big controversy in my country, interesting Yang was banned because a lot of people just said Horton was being salty & disrespectful.

Countries like China and Russia will continue to dope until the punishments are more severe. This should be a lifetime ban for the individual and a 10+ year ban for the whole Chinese swim team. Otherwise, this will keep happening.

I don't remember that being case, depending on what you mean by 'widely'. I do remember Sun Yang shouting at Duncan Scott for refusing to go on the podium and saying "You're a loser. I'm a winner."

It would make for a great comparison for "peak" human vs "enhanced" human performance.

theres a potential for a nasty and very dangerous can of worms to start openly allowing human genetic experiments, but if these people are willing, who know what kind of life saving discoveries it may one day lead to.
