Initially thought that was Captain Toad but he's a Red Toad, not a Yellow Toad.

I, for one, welcome this new era of Toad Lore.

That is relieving. Now I just hope you can keep partners as permanent party members. When they called it a revolving cast of sidekicks it worried me that you get like one temporary partner in each dungeon and then you part ways after you clear the act
