so first off I was using that as a worst case hypothetical to show that even if there was a reasonable suspicion that they wouldn't pay denying them first and making them prove they have money is the wrong way to go about it. just do your fucking job and make the food and if they refuse to pay when they get to the register then they don't get their food. simple.
however it's actually clear from the videos that that wasn't true because the guy said he saw them come in twice without paying and then literal seconds later said he hadn't seen them before.
either way just make the fucking food. that's how chipotle works, you make the food when people order and then you walk down the line and pay when it's done. you don't alter the way a business works because you're a fucking racist shit head. if they were really repeat offenders they'd probably be banned period not let in and made to prove they have funds.
You're commenting a lot on hypotheticals when the details exist for somebody who keeps saying they don't know details.
The one article posted in this thread mentions the manager got fired for not serving the customer, but never disputes whether she was correct about whether or not the customers had previously not paid. If you have something that says otherwise, I'd be happy to read it.
I cannot comprehend why these white people are still doing shit like this when they clearly know they're being filmed. Like once the phone gets whipped out and you're being recorded, they realized you're fucked if they keep doubling-down, don't they? Chipotle is make order then pay. They wouldn't even service them until they paid.
You call the cops on them or claim trespassing, then they have another issue altogether.

I once ordered something from Chipotle that an employee accidentally stuck her (gloved) finger in it, just barely. I didn't even notice it until she said it. On her insisting, she threw it out and made another one.

First off there is more to this story than we know.

Tribune already posted an article on this bruh. Internal investigation already happened, there were previous groups of young men who had essentially dine and dashed a couple days ago, and had been prior to that. She thought it was them, and she was obviously wrong.

The manager is supposed to be training the people and overseeing them. It is the manager's responsibility to make sure that the employees know how to treat people well and as such the biggest blame lies on the manager. Also, it is more "convenient" to just get rid of the manager than to fire all the other employees involved as well. This potentially avoids a staffing issue where there is a shortage of employees for x amount of time until they can be replaced.
