Chris Hayes often seems like the one sane person at MSNBC.

That last minute was incredibly effective. More time should be spent juxtaposing Trump's deception and disinterest against visual truth.

The way the media has been attacking Bernie easily shows that their bias against him is far more important than the reality of Trump's disgusting handling of the Presidency.

Chris Hayes is great and this kind of story isn't popular with the bosses. He's also a great sorbet after the awkward Ari Melber forced rap lyric equivalencies.

It already has been making mistakes. Current media is all about conflict and gathering up views, like some kind of sports game. No one focuses on the mediocre stuff because that just ain't exciting!

Damn, Chris Hayes bringing the truth. This is a perfect example of how morally bankrupt the media can be.

This piece is similar:
THE 2016 EMAILS NIGHTMARE IS ABOUT TO REPEAT ITSELF

Most recently, Sanders's polling lead has drawn renewed scrutiny to favorable comments he made about left-wing parties and leaders during the Cold War, when the U.S. routinely armed and funded the right-wing military dictators they opposed. It's natural and proper that Sanders face questions about his record, but, as in 2016, the relative dearth of controversies surrounding him has drawn outsize attention to aspects of his record that are positively benign in contrast to aspects of Trump's that pass without comment. Trump has ongoing, fawning relationships with multiple, brutal authoritarian leaders. As the campaign press corps dove deep into comments Sanders made decades ago, Trump stood alongside and praised the nationalist prime minister of India, who is presiding over a violent cleansing of Muslims from his country right now. The number of communist dictators Trump grovels before today is at least two—China's Xi Jinping and North Korea's Kim Jong Un. The number Sanders fawns over is zero. Trump has admiringly described the Tiananmen Square massacre as an example of Chinese government strength, and would almost certainly revise his views of other left-wing authoritarian governments if they offered to line his pockets or build Trump-branded hotels on their beachfronts.

Yeah, Chris Hayes is pretty sensible and good at calling out this sort of stuff.

No matter who the nominee is parts of the media will find something to be the new "emails", and at the same time continue to normalize the strange shit Trump does daily.

Hayes is solid, prob the most progressive host on MSNBC. And of course he's right about this. Not sure why the media just accepts the shit that comes out of Trump's mouth. The only guys with any stones are Jim Acosta and Brian Karem. The rest are hacks.

I haven't watched the video yet cause I'm at work but it's amazing how negative and attacking the media is with sanders. They were doing it to Warren earlier too, giving anyomous CEOs a soapbox to say how bad she would be for the economy.

Doesn't really surprise me as much as disappoint me. I almost never watch mainstream news coverage on TV anymore. I'll watch pbs news hour or BBC and listen to npr on the radio cause at least they offer fact based coverage.

It's in the media's best interest to court both sides of the aisle. In order to counterbalance Trump's incredibly numerous scandals/flaws/horrific decisions/weirdness they will make big deals out of almost nothing for the other side. They want to be seen as neutral and in doing so are causing evil to win.

It's cowardice and an inborn sense that both sides are equal in some way.

Remember after last week's debate when the billionaire got more coverage than the other five candidates combined? The media are run by morons who never learn. I'm still pissed about the NYT's coverage of the 2016 election and their inability to recognize the part they played in Trump's election. When it was confirmed that Russia had meddled, NYT reports were like "Those bastards!" instead of taking a look at their own choice to, say, continually run front-page stories about Hillary's emails.

The people who run media outlets only care about ratings. As long as that's the case, coverage will chase clicks and eyeballs above all else. It's sad.

The media has no real skin in the game. They can try and act like they are on one side or the other for the most part, but what they are after is ratings and ad sales above all else. Deep down, for most of them, another 4 years of Trump will have zero effect on their lives.

The media has never, ever held Trump to account. He's legitimately one of the most vile and despicable people on the planet and all they can do is "Both sides, very contentious, life is a pendulum" out of some desire to be seen as "neutral".

Btw if you like Chris Hayes check out his podcast. It's great stuff. Basically long form interviews covering topics that don't and wouldn't get coverage on cable news beyond a few minutes cuz they're ratings dead zones.

The way CNN and MSNBC tried to downplay those Bloomberg interviews and barely acknowledge his controversial past as mayor.

Yes, it's 2016 all over again.

I feel this sort of happens in the UK with the Tories and now especially with Boris.

Right wing liars seem to get a pass, it's weird.

It doesn't really matter who is the nominee. We already got a taste of what's to come with Warren, Biden and now Sanders falling victim to disingenuous bullshit. The GOP will make a mountain out of any molehill and most of the media will feed into it because they really have nothing to lose and everything (viewership) to gain.
