Just announced on-air. Tonight’s edition of Hardball will be his last show.

The Bernie freak-out was an unfortunate note to go out on

EDIT: This is the first I've heard of the sexual harassment claims. In that case, I rescind my previous comment and replace them with "lol bye bitch"

I know its because of the sexual harassment but the whole Central Park situation was just so ludicrous

Finally. The man splaining and Bernie analogies were nuts. Hopefully the next host isn’t a crazy person and actually lets a guest answer a question.

This happens weeks into his anti-Bernie hysteria but one day after John Oliver makes fun of Matthews being consistently unable to end his show by botching the segway into the 8 PM show.

Last Week Tonight ended him, y'all.

He didn’t even come back.

Times have changed, he was a dinosaur with an old style that just didn’t fit with modern times. He became too confrontational against anyone he perceived as “liberal”.

He probably saw John Oliver’s video on him last night and decided he was done.

Good. And yeah this is unlikely to be voluntary- the harassment story that broke was absolutely unacceptable.

This is what aired.

Came back from commercial with Kornacki being dumbfounded and saying "we obviously need to fill the rest of this hour. A short break, first."

Almost like they didn't know, but they had to have known. Maybe only he and the producers knew.

He'll be Fox's token Dem who just so happens to hate the Democratic nominee, Bernie Sanders.

Good riddance.

Seeing as it's effective immediately, dude definitely got fired. Good.

"retiring effective immediately" usually means "quit or be fired".
That seems unlikely. He decided to quit/retire. Maybe they were going to give him a suspension or they had other plans but the way he just up and quit doesn't seem like they were expecting him to go. Why would they let him on TV if they planned on firing him.
