U.S. Senate candidate Chris McDaniel was booed by a live MSNBC audience at Ole Miss on Friday morning after he said African-American Mississippians should stop "begging for federal government scraps."

Republican McDaniel and other Senate candidates were interviewed on the "Morning Joe" show from its live broadcast in Mississippi. Interview panelist Eddie Glaude Jr., a Moss Point native and chairman of African-American studies at Princeton University, asked McDaniel about his support for the controversial state flag, comments about hip-hop music contributing to gun violence and praise of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee.

Glaude asked McDaniel how he would speak to Mississippi's 38 percent of African-Americans and how he would convince them "you are not a danger to them."

McDaniel responded: "I am going to ask them, after 100 years, after 100 years of relying on big government to save you, where are you today? After 100 years of begging for federal government scraps, where are you today?"

Just googled him since I don't know him and apparently he beat up a dude before a town hall and his defense of Kavanaugh is: 99% of allegations from the past are fabricated.

Sounds like a nice guy

The Trump talking point. "What do you have to lose?!"
or is this the "get off the plantation" shit coming from people like Candice Owens. It's all the same. Racism. The thing is, it worked for Trump to a point, not on Black voters but White voters. It won't work here.

This is the shit that really saddens me when folks say " black votes shouldn't be taken from granted", which is true to a point. But so much of this shit is life and death, you going to play with it right into some chains

Yeah why don't black people want to roll back the clock to early 20th/late 19th century Mississippi? Can't think of a single reason!

Meanwhile white American wall street cats cut every corner/use every government loophole possible to stay with their thumbs on people. And as soon as you dare whisper something like "pay your fair share" they act like a motherfucker is robbing them at gunpoint. Fuck this punk ass bitch.

A part of me wants us to call his bullshit bluff. Cause the moment we get quiet, start grinding on our own shit and just making power moves republicans be the first motherfuckers to start screaming "OMG, you built up a black business employing black people you're obviously racist for not letting us come in and take that shit from you!!"

Can't win for losing. Play by the rules and utilize the system to get some of our issues/needs addressed we want handouts. But corporations do the same shit and get tax cuts and it's good economics.

This is the shit that really saddens me when folks say " black votes shouldn't be taken from granted", which is true to a point. But so much of this shit is life and death, you going to play with it right into some chains

You don’t understand. When we’re in chains and legally proscribed from voting, Democrats are going to be so sorry they didn’t earn our votes.

White Midwesterners are begging for government scraps? What is this referring to?
It's referring to the fact that we elected Trump in part because our manufacturing sector is waning and white people in these sectors effectively voted for the potential of a government bailout of some sort to revive these areas; that whole "economic anxiety" excuse.

As a white Midwesterner, sorry. Anyone who thought that, white black or green, is an idiot.

Turn Mississippi into an airplane parking lot and let anybody there who's willing to learn a useful trade move to a state worth a damn.

and then i felt genuine fear and realized i was confident mississippi would do the wrong thing if it came to that.

BTW this is the same guy that, given the chance, will pass more legislation to further knock African Americans back on their ass and then pass anti-ass falling legislation. This guy will deliberately pass legislation designed in some ways to create the problem he's imagining. However, I am a pragmatist and I hope he falls face first into a fireant nest.

Someone on one of his twitter threads said he's the 'only true Conservative' running in the race. And well....

....he's most definitely a true Conservative.

99% of the time 85% of the incidents aren't even reported. So I admire his mathematical imagination. I bet his receipts are in order.
