If you need to fast a day for each Saturday you would otherwise fast anyway, that would add 52 days if you take communion every week of the year. That would exceed the fasting period from 6 months and a couple of weeks (which I rounded to 7) to over 8 months. Whew.
The timing of when we eat is not important, its abstinence from certain foods.
Ideally, there would be a Liturgy (our word for mass) every day and, in fact, the first Christians would take communion (and go to confession) daily.
The big one I know is Scott Cawthon of the FNaF series, and going from this GuG interview he's pretty serious about his faith.
I'm not from America, so I didn't celebrate Thanksgiving, but I had an incredible weekend. With a group of over 200 christian students from different cities, I went to a former monastry where we had a weekend together, and spent a lot of time on praise, prayer, study of God and of course earthly fun with each other. I had a great time, and I feel that I've become stronger in my faith this weekend.
While Thanksgiving was a month ago for me(Gotta love the difference between the two holidays in the States/Canada), I got to spend Saturday Night at a Nightfever/Adoration event that was so good. It definitely reminded me that I need to spend time getting better at evangelizing because I had issues, but the serenity of the Adoration when I was praying/worshipping was amazing.
Unfortunately, China is too powerful for us righteous western countries to reprimand them for violating freedom of faith (and thus speech). The situation of believers of any religion in China has worsened a lot in the last couple of years. It's very worrying.

I finished this book recently, and now I'm reading CS Lewis' Mere Christianity. Silence and Beauty is a powerful reflection on the themes of Endo's Silence, by a contemporary modern artist who relates the themes with his own life and experiences as an American Japanese artist who does Japanese style modern art. As a Protestant married to a Catholic, and an American who found his faith in Christ in Japan rather than in the States, his faith journey developed his thoughts on Japanese culture, the arts world, modern Japanese society, and the history of Christianity's influence on Japan. It's a fascinating read and I would recommend both this and Silence itself as important works for any Christian who is struggles with the mystery of suffering, and an interest in Japan as a society/culture.
Amen to that! Hope everyone had fun. I stayed home, since I don't have a church, but I've been reading along to the final seven chapters of Matthew through the week in addition to my usual readings. It was an unusually great day where I got to spend time with a friend I don't see often enough, and just in general I've had a wonderful day so... I guess I feel blessed. It's not much, but it was still a great time.
i went with a friend and her mom for a time, and to different church, cult-like, now sometimes with my parents though i really don't like to go the same ones they are used to, started to invite extended family wich helps.
well, not really in a bad way, more like quite excentric with everyone crawling on the floor, with rock music it was quite lively, but i didn't returned after stoping going with them, i thought about it but never went by myself.maybe i should try giving it another shot one day 🤔 my mom hates, hates there because she says there are faggots and other stuff and she hated when my dad was going before because they were going to 'take his money', but thats just my mom :^P
